“You said yes?”

“Of course, I did. I didn’t want to waste such a beautiful ring.”

She blows on her ring with attitude and we both giggle like teenage girls immediately after.

“Congratulations, Jaya. I am so happy for you both. When have you decided to make it official? I mean wedding?”

“Not yet,” she sighs. “Six months and then we should go ahead.”

I am still happy.

“I just have to learn from you how to continue my work in London while being in India with Aman after I marry him. I am sure it’s difficult.”

“But worth it.” I smile.

“I know. You are a fine example of that. Your blush doesn’t seem to take a break whenever Aarav is around. What has he done to you?”

“Everything.” I bite my lip. I am serious. He has tried everything on me which normally I wouldn’t even know reading romance novels.

She grins and then hugs me. I push those sensual thoughts away and focus on Jaya instead. But she pokes me again why I am in black and not red today.

“Fine, now tell me your long story. How did you end up in a black dress instead of red? And is Aarav anywhere responsible for that because I am observing it for an hour, he is throwing pleading glances at you while you are ignoring him? What happened?”

My cheeks flame recalling that moment.

“Aarav tore my dress.” I pause. It’s too intimate to share with anyone.

I still recall how I was dressed up in a red sequin dress and Aarav hadn’t moved his gaze off me when I asked for his help to zip my dress. It was evident from his eyes that he loved what he saw. Then we kissed, and he showed every bit of desire for a quickie, which I wasn’t prepared for only because we were running late. But Aarav being Aarav didn’t pay heed to the delay and soon the kisses turned into more pleasurable assault and to respond to that growing need in our bodies, he tore my dress to get me out of it and devoured me like that was the only thing God had commanded him to do. One hour later, he was still in the grey Armani suit while I struggled to find a replacement attire for tonight. Since then, I haven’t talked to him. This wasn’t the first time he had torn my dress in the need to make love. Every week, one of my favorite dresses would be discarded in the bin and I could do nothing about it. Not that he didn’t fill my closet with more gorgeous dresses than before and not that I didn’t love to see him craving to have me, but I loved faking such cute frustration, which made him look even hotter when he convinced me to forgive. Tonight, was one such night where he was doing everything he could to make me talk to him again, and we both know by the time this party is over and we head home, I will be in his arms.

“Someone is busy defying my commands.”

And it’s him. Aarav is here. His powerful voice always prickles my skin. He’s always been commanding even in the bedroom, which I love, but not here, not today. When I don’t reply and look away, Aarav focuses on Jaya.

“Hi Jaya, Congratulations.” He gives Jaya a quick hug.

“Aman told me you are engaged.” He adds.

“We are,” she grins. “Did you help him choose this ring? Because I know his choice. He’s got the worst choice in the women’s accessories department.”

“Oh really?” Aman intervenes.

The VP of AR Group has enough charm to swoon women and I am so glad that he picked my best friend.

“Only because I don’t have much experience with women doesn't mean I have a terrible choice in picking on her accessories. Ask Aarav, I have improved.”

“Very much,” Aarav agrees and catches my gaze with earnestness. “I had to introduce you to someone, Jaan. You shouldn’t have defied me.”

I cross my arms. “Well, I did. What would you do?”

Aman and Jaya stare between us and then he holds her hand.

“Jaya, we better leave this sexually frustrated couple to sort it out. What do you say?” Aman teases.

“Perfectly alright with me.”

Jaya gives me a quick hug and scurries away with Aman, leaving me alone with my super-hot, super-sexy and super-handsome husband.

“I said I am sorry, Jaan.”
