Emily’s family probably had a private chef and personal
 
 trainers. Or maybe they just shopped at really expensive health
 
 food stores and never went to actual grocery stores. Maybe
 
 Emily had never shopped for groceries in her life. Wasn’t she
 
 in for a treat? Dani also had the perfect place in mind to stop at
 
 on the way home. She’d introduce Emily to the world of fried
 
 food.
 
 Dani grabbed her purse, which was black with a little gold
 
 cat face and cute cat ears, off the kitchen table. She took her
 
 keys from the peg by the door. Emily was probably also in for
 
 a treat. She’d likely never had to ride in a real shit box before.

 person, but she did find her lips twitching as she waited for

 The supermarket Dani chose had really, really bright lights.
 
 And no zombies.
 
 There were a few people pushing carts around, but even the
 
 ones who looked super tired, frazzled, or worn out didn’t look
 
 like they would want to nibble on anyone’s arm. They looked
 
 like they wanted to get their shopping done and get the heck
 
 out of there.
 
 Emily didn’t think she’d be excited about a big box
 
 supermarket, but she was quite fascinated. She’d gone grocery
 
 shopping a few times with her mom when she was younger,
 
 but she hadn’t done it in a long time. Now, Sandra did most of
 
 their ordering online and had everything delivered.
