“Sorry to break this up.” Preston says loudly from across the room and Nico snarls moving enough to block the view.
“What do you want?” Nico asks. His fingers are still in me. I know I should be embarrassed. I know I should be ashamed that someone has caught us like this but I’m not. I want them to see. Something inside me wants everyone to see that this man, this king of our city wants me of all people.
I start gyrating my hips, riding his fingers and Nico turns to watch me curiously.
“We have an update.” Preston says pointedly.
Nico snarls and then his fingers are out. I’m no longer his focus and I look away annoyed but understanding. I wrap my robe back around. I don’t want Preston to see me now. Nico steps back, making a play of licking his fingers for us both to see.
Preston clears his throat but apart from that he makes no comment.
“What’s the update?” Nico asks turning away from me to where he’s already laying something out on the island with the row of bar stools.
He looks at me and then Nico glances too.
“Do you want me to go?” I say.
Nico pulls a face like he’s not sure.
“It’s okay. I’ll be outside on the balcony.” I say before he needs to. There’s clearly something going off and I don’t want to distract him but more than that I don’t want to cause more issues.I want him to understand that I’m not the kind of person who takes offence so easily as that. I’m not high maintenance. If anything I’m probably too much of a people pleaser but I guess we all have our vices.
I walk over to the huge bi-folds. I don’t even know where the door bit is so I try one end but it doesn’t budge.
“Like this.” Nico says behind me and I gasp because he’s done it again. He’s snuck up on me.
He opens the door and I murmur my thanks.
As I step out I can tell he’s still watching me so I make a point of not looking back. Of focusing on exploring this new space only all I can focus on is the view. We’re in the hills. The main city is below us. This is the most sought after area to live. The most exclusive. I’ve never even set foot in this part before though it makes sense that Nico would be here. That his home would be here.
I breathe in the air and for once it’s not thick with exhaust fumes and dirt. It’s clear. Clean. I can smell the nearby trees and pollen from flowers in the garden below. It feels like I’m in paradise, the very gardens of Eden itself.
It’s mad to be here. To be propelled into this world but I decide in this moment I will do everything in my power to please Nico. To keep him happy. To be by his side because this world of his, this place is everything a girl could dream of, but more than that, Nico is everything I didn’t know I wanted in a man. Everything I need too.
Him
Iwatch her for a few moments. She’s staring out at the view as if she can’t quite believe it’s eyes.
I like it and I hate it too. The look of surprise on her face is something that makes my dick throb. But this place, this house, all of this shouldn’t feel so alien to her. Her life till now shouldn’t have been so shit that this feels like a luxury in comparison.
“Are you going to watch her all day?” Preston asks and I smirk.
“Fuck off.” I say turning around and leaving her to it. “So what do we have?“
“We’ve tracked the vans. They went to a warehouse the other side of the city. We think that’s where they’ve taken the stuff.”
“Think?” I reply.
“We’re sending some scouts in. Nothing that will alert them.”
“Who?”
“Couple of street kids.”
I pull a face. I don’t like using kids. If shit goes down I don’t want a child’s blood on my hands. Adults can consent. Kids don’t understand what the fuck they’re getting into.
“It makes sense.” Preston states. Yeah it does but that doesn’t mean I have to like it.
“What do you want to do when once we confirm it’s there?” He asks.
