I scream and leap on top of her, punching her as hard as I can, right in the middle of her nose. Feeling my fist make contact with her face brings me so much joy. Hearing the sounds of bones cracking, Sasha shouts,‘More’, in my head. I pull my arm back and slam my fist into her face again. Her nose bursts open, splattering blood on my face which sends me into a wrath filled frenzy.

Laughing, I grab her hair with one hand and lock my thighs around her waist and punch her again and again. Words are coming from my mouth, but in my rage filled fury, I can’t hear anything past the sounds of my knuckles connecting with her flesh.

There’re more screams and shouts coming from all around me, but I continue to punch her mercilessly. I want to hurt her as much as she has hurt me. She needs to feel the pain she inflicted on me for so many years. I continue punching and laughing when someone tries pulling me off her, but I’m locked in tight. I’m nowhere near done with her. Today is the day she will feel my wrath.

“Kathrine,” my dad’s voice booms behind me, but I’m not done rearranging this bitch’s face, and I hit her again.

I feel multiple hands on me, stopping my fist from flying. They finally rip me off Nikki, but not before I take a handful of hair from her head. My entire body shakes uncontrollably and tears roll down my cheek from the rush of adrenalin as years of bitterness leave me. I look to my left and right and see that my dad and Beta Charles are on either side of me with my feet dangling in the air as they carry me away from the chaos I created.

“About fucking time, kiddo.” Beta Charles whispers in my ear.

“How’d that feel, sugar?” My dad whispers in the other.

“Fucking great, daddy.” I smile.

“That’s my girl,” he shakes my arm. “That’s my girl,” his voice is low and filled with pride.

Hearing Nikki’s voice and seeing Kate tense up, I put two and two together. After all these years, Nikki is still harassing Kate. I wish I would have seen Nikki for what she was back then… a bully. Nikki never loved me, but continued a sexual relationship with me, just to spite Kate.

For example, the night that Kate caught us together at the Autumn Moon Ball. Nikki was pissed that she and the other unmated wolves were ushered around the receiving line. She kept mindlinking me the entire night, telling me the same things she had been saying for months. How much she loves me and that I need to reject Kate, because she is a better match for me. She promised she’d stop mindlinking me if I joined her in the garden shack for five minutes. I’ll never understand why I just didn’t block her out. In the garden shack, she put a condom on me, explaining how Kate wouldn’t feel the infidelity. Stupid, I know.

After Kate ran out, Nikki laughed hysterically. She kept saying how the virgin deserved what she got. That’s when I saw the true Nikki. Furious, I told her I never wanted to see her again and would try to have her banished from our territory. She thought that was hilarious and called me a pussy.

What I don’t understand is why Nikki and her friend is here in the first place. They’re not lifting weights and their mates are nowhere around us. Is she purposely trying to get a reaction from Kate?Bitch.

‘It was Nikki who said I was in Vegas, wasn’t it?’Watching Kate’s body tense up, I mindlink her.

‘Yes… I overheard a phone conversation she was having with Dante about being on a boys’ trip to Vegas.’She mindlinks back and looks up at my face. I should have known that Nikki was behind that. She’s still trying to break us up after all this time.

‘Bitch! She knew exactly what she was doing. I’ll have a word with Dante about his mate.’Irritated, I mindlink and drop my weights on the floor.

‘No, don’t. I won’t let her get to me anymore. Now get back to your workout and pay me no attention.’She mindlinks and smiles. “Hey, I’ll be right back. I need some air.”I nod as she stands and walks away.

“Bro, spot me.” Zane says, shaking his head at Kelsey. We laugh, watching the cheesy bastard flex and show off for Sonia.

“Bro, I hope one day you have two just like you,” I laugh before turning to spot Zane as he benches. A second later a commotion erupts behind me.

“Kate!” Kelsey shouts, sending a shock wave through my body. All I can think is that my Kate is in trouble and needs me. I can’t get the weights racked fast enough.

I turn to find Kate… my sweet, non-confrontational Kate on top of Nikki punching the shit out of her. I stand with my mouth open in shock for a few seconds. My brain needs a minute to comprehend what I’m seeing. Kate’s body shakes and trembles as she unleashes her wrath on Nikki’s face.

“Bitch!” Kate shouts, as her fist connects with Nikki’s face. “Why?” She screams as her fists fly again. Nikki’s nose burst and blood flies everywhere. Seeing Nikki’s blood sends her into a killing frenzy, the same frenzy you see on the battlefield. I need to stop her before she makes a mistake she will regret.

“What the fuck did I ever do to you?” With each word, Kate’s fist connects with Nikki’s face. She lets out a menacing evil laugh. I’m nervous because I’ve never heard Kate laugh like this.

“I hate you!” Kate continues, punching and laughing.

I grab Kate and pull. She doesn’t budge. She has Nikki locked between her thighs and has a death grip on her hair. It’s like she’s anchored to the floor. I pull again but am knocked off balance by someone bumping into me.

“Fucking watch it!” I shout and get in the bastard’s face, only to realize that it is my father. He quickly turns, averting his attention to Kate.

He’s quickly joined by Gamma Earnest and Alpha Nathaniel. They form a barrier between me and Kate. I’m sure to some, their actions look like they are trying to break the fight up. Not to me. They look more like they are dancing and bumping into each other. They’re doing one hell of a job blocking me from my mate.

Zane and Kelsey join me, trying to get through the impenetrable wall made of our fathers. They’re blocking everyone from breaking up the fight.What the hell?After a few more punches, Gamma Earnest and my father pull Kate off Nikki, while Alpha shouts to take Kate to his office. The sound of Alpha’s voice seems off… this entire thing feels off.

Walking behind Kate and our fathers, I see my father whisper something in her ear, then her dad whispers something in her other ear, followed by an arm shake.
