“You wouldn’t. That’s school property,” she challenges. I back away a tiny bit before lifting my foot and kicking out as hard as I can.
“Joey! Are you fucking kidding me? Your ass is fixing that,” she screams, but I can tell she’s letting her anger take over how worried she is about the situation. I take a deep breath, not wanting to scare her more, but my anger is at its peak.
“We’ve been together for the past…” I start, but she interrupts me.
“Together?” she asks, and I look at her like she’s fucking crazy.
“Yeah, together. What would you call it?” I ask, confused.
“Seeing as you haven’t once made a move on me, I’d call it friends. You haven’t tried to kiss me once since that first time, so that can’t even be considered courting. I’d already come to the conclusion you consider me to be one of the guys.” It’s my turn to cut her off, and I do that with my mouth.
“One of the guys, my ass,” I growl against her lips, going back for another kiss.
She moans when I suck on her bottom lip, biting lightly. She takes control, shoving her tongue into my mouth, and it’s my turn to groan. I give her time to explore before I can’t take it anymore. I lift her legs by the back of her thighs and walk toward the metal island in the middle of the room. I pull back, looking down when a few bright hot pink colors distract me. I look under one of the open tables near the back wall and see a pillow and some blankets. I look back at her, my rage taking over again, when she speaks up.
“I had nowhere else to go,” she explains.
“You should have told me. I would have fixed this,” I tell her.
“We aren’t even together. What…”
I kiss her to shut her up before pulling back and telling her, “You don’t get how I feel about you at all, do you? Don’t you know I would do anything for you? I would buy you a mansion if that’s what you want. I don’t know how the hell I would pull that off, but I would find a fucking way just to see you smile. I’m in love with you, rockstar,” I tell her before taking her lips in a possessive hold before she has time to process what I said. It’s time to show her how much I mean those words. I know Lexi responds to actions more than words. It’s time I show her exactly what I mean.
