I turned around and thought of something else to add. I faced the aggravating man again and said, “And Collin?”

His rage filled eyes met mine.

“Never come back here again,” I said.

I joined the men who had shifted back into their human form. They looked at me with equally perplexed expressions. I figured none of them expected me to lay out Collin like I had. I couldn’t blame them. I didn’t think I had it in me either. A sudden need to protect what was mine overcame me and I was done with Collin’s shenanigans.

Gunnar blinked and his attention was caught by something out of my view. He shuffled toward someone scurrying away from the group.

“No, you don’t,” he said and picked the small man up like he was a child. When Gunnar turned around, I gasped.

It was Bastian and he had blood staining not only his face, but his shirt as well. A pinch formed in my forehead as I wondered what the hell was going on.

“What are you doing here?” I asked the man dangling from Gunnar’s arms.

He wouldn’t respond to me. He hated responding to me. I was beneath him and he knew I knew he felt that way. I crossed my arms over my chest and glared at him. A few beats later, I raked my gaze along the faces in the room.

“Well? Someone needs to start,” I said.

Thankfully, Gunnar did. “I found this weasel hanging around. Found out he was the one that told Collin you were here. He’s also responsible for your night being ruined.”

“I wouldn’t go as far as saying my night was ruined,” I said and flashed a quick glance to Declan. “Besides, you’re giving him too much credit. He’s not that smart.”

Bastian scoffed.

I shrugged. “I waited for this for so long it seems. You’re fired.”

Gunnar smiled. “About time the trash took itself out.”

“Well deserved,” King said.

I turned toward him, instantly settling my attention on my father who approached from behind him and Declan. I had never seen a smile so big on his face.

“Just like when you were a girl,” he said as he approached. “You have stood your ground, and continue to make me proud of the woman you have become.”

“Papa, what are you doing here?” I asked.

The men turned around and faced him as well.

“Your note had me a little concerned, but I can see now that I had nothing to worry about. You handled yourself incredibly well.”

I smiled. “Thank you, Papa.”

“You’re a filthy beast lover,” Collin said.

I rolled my eyes and faced him. “You’re still here? And so what if I am a beast lover? They please me for better than you could ever possibly hope to.”

My eyes dropped down to his crotch and back to his eyes. The men behind him whispered.

Collin’s face turned red. “You’ll regret this.”

“I seriously doubt that,” I said as King stepped forward.

“You heard her. You’re not wanted or welcomed here. Last chance to leave. If you still choose to fight, then so be it. We would kill to protect our home and the people we love.”

Collin’s eyes smoldered with his anger. But this time, I wasn’t scared. I didn’t feel alone, and I was able to stand my ground. Especially when my men stood with me.

I loved the sound of that… my men. As much as I wanted to further relish in the greatness of it, we still had the problem with Collin to handle.
