I smiled. “What’s this for?”

King said, “Gunnar thought we should surprise you with breakfast this morning.”

“As a thank you,” Gunnar added.

I smiled wider. “For what?”

“For coming into our lives,” Declan said.

I giggled. “You’re welcome.”

I took in the lavish array and shook my head in disbelief. They brought me all my favorites. Fruit with sweet cream, croissant with honey, tea, and two hard-boiled eggs. There were also a few strips of bacon and a couple of sausage links. Everything I loved about breakfast sat before me, making my mouth water.

“Eat up, buttercup,” Gunnar said.

I giggled. “I’m so impressed! I don’t know where to start.”

“The fruit,” King said and winked at me.

I laughed under my breath and shook my head. “Did you guys really work together to do this for me?”

They all nodded.

“We would do anything for you,” Declan said.

“Seriously?” I asked. It came out high-pitched and full of excitement. I grabbed a cantaloupe and dipped it into the cream before popping it into my mouth. “Delicious.”

King said, “Of course. You mean that much to us.”

I gulped as my heart did a funny, erratic flip. I reached for a strip of bacon as I asked, “I do?”

“We know that you are going to decide which one of us to be with soon,” Declan said, “And we didn’t want you to make that decision without knowing how we feel about you first.”

“Or how thankful we are for you,” Gunnar added.

My cheeks started to burn.

“Especially for being the only one who could bring the three of us together,” King said. “That is something I would have thought to be an impossible feat.”

“Did you guys rehearse this?” I asked as I shoved the bacon into my mouth. I groaned as the savory flavor danced along my tongue.

Gunnar held up his finger and thumb close together. King shrugged.

Declan said, “Maybe a little.”

I laughed. “You guys are so weird. I love it.”

“I’ll start,” King said.

The other two men groaned.

“Of course,” Declan muttered. He played up the gesture with rolling his eyes and crossing his arms over his chest.

“It’s his name. He let it get to his head,” Gunnar added, lightly jabbing King in his shoulder.

He smirked, letting the comments roll off his shoulders. “What I love about you is your tenacity, your unflinching resolve, and your courage.”

I blinked away tears of joy at hearing his words. I wasn’t going to allow myself to cry and ruin the moment, or my appetite. But I couldn’t help the joy that swelled within my chest. I cleared my throat. “Is that all?”
