“Alicia!” East yells in shock.
“What the hell are you doing? Get out! Get out now!” she screams as she dismounts my brother. I turn around and start to grin. How could we have ever thought he would have been doing the deed with a seventy-year-old?
East also has her back to them both as they sort out the covers and get themselves decent.
“Drake, we were fucking worried. You disappeared with Margarite, you didn’t take your phone, and you didn’t tell your security team where the hell you were going.” I grind my jaw. I’m angry, but I’m also relieved. I think I would have vomited if it had been Margarite.
“I asked her to bring him to me. We have things to talk about, so if you don’t mind, can you both leave now?” Alicia barks.
“Where is Margarite?” East questions. “We need to find her. We have things we want to talk to her about.”
“You mean your nuptials.” Alicia laughs.
“How the hell do you know about that?” East looks at me in panic.
“I asked Margarite to keep you two busy. I didn’t think you’d go and get bloody married, though. That bit is on the pair of you. If you both don’t get out of here, I’m going to call West and give him the good news. He will be so pleased to find out his baby sister has just married his best friend, don’t you think?”
“You wouldn’t dare.” East lunges for Alicia, and I just about catch her round the waist.
“Aww, that’s so sweet, don’t you think, Drake? He’s controlling his wife.” Alicia cackles.
“Well, yeah, it is, but I’d like to be controlling you if you’d only agree to marry me,” Drake says quietly.
What the hell? He proposed, and she turned him down?
“You say one fucking word to my brother, and I will rip every solitary hair out of your extension-filled head. Do you understand me?”
“Perfectly, but I will call him if you’re not out of here in the next ten seconds.”
“We can’t leave, not without you two,” I state.
“What do you mean?” Drake asks.
“You two have made so much noise, the hotel has been receiving complaints, and they want you out. Like, now. So, get yourselves dressed before East’s new best mate calls the cops on you both. And can I remind you, Drake…? The cops will also tip off the press.”
“Argh, fine, but can you two wait outside while we get dressed, please?” Alicia groans.
“Absolutely, Alicia.” I take East’s hand and pull her out of the door. Her face is so angry. I have no doubt she would follow through with the threat on Alicia, but that would only cause us more problems.
“Isn’t that sweet, Drake? He’s holding his wife’s hand,” Alicia purrs.
East spins and reaches forward to grab Alicia. Luckily, I have quick reactions and have her off her feet and out the door before she can make contact.
She is one little firecracker. Maybe my initial nickname for her was wrong. She’s no diamond… She’s dynamite.
The door shuts behind us, and I put her down on the ground.
“Why didn’t you let me smack her?” She fumes.
“Because she would have us arrested like she tried with Kara, and then we would have to call someone to bail us out. Namely, your family. So, no, East, kicking Alicia’s head in is not an option. Not while we are in Vegas, anyway.” I smirk, and she starts to smile which then breaks into a giggle. Before we know it, both of us are laughing.
We still don’t know where the mysterious Margarite is, but it does confirm she had a hand in what happened to us both last night. Now that I know Drake is safe, when I get him back to his suite, I can take my wife and get divorced.
Chapter 13
East
Backinmyownroom, I start to think. When I woke up this morning, I didn’t think today was going to turn into an absolute carnival. Searching rooms, locating limos, flirting with the hot receptionist, and then nearly getting in a full-on scrap with Alicia. I also never imagined this would be how I spent my first day of married life.
