“I still don’t know who you’re talking about. I never leave my number. You know that. It’s just not done. I don’t want crazy stalkers like I’ve got now, so you know… Fuck ‘em and fuck off. You know that’s how I go.”

It takes everything in me not to throw the fucker out of the window. How the hell can he just fuck her and fuck off?

“Look, Zed, I don’t know who you’re talking about. I haven’t had a one-night stand in ages. In fact, the last one made me re-evaluate things, if I’m honest. She got so pissed, she threw up all night and nothing happened. I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. But that was about a year ago. Every girl I’ve been with since, I’ve made sure they were not fucked up before taking them back to my room, and I’ve also made sure they know the score. If this East girl is saying different, then she’s either lying or she’s the puker that put me off.”

I fucking hope she’s the puker.

“Fine, but you stay the fuck away from her. Do you hear me? She’s my new PA now until we get your mess cleaned up. Her name is East McGarry, and she has a friend with her who you will also stay away from.”

He looks at me like it should mean something. It should, but my brother is so self-centred he doesn’t even know any of my friends properly.

“East McGarry. She is the youngest of the McGarry family…” Even now, he’s still not registering.

“West, North, and South’s little sister.” That hits the jackpot. The colour drains from his face.

“Right. Absolutely. Nope. I will not be going anywhere near her or her friend, that’s for sure. You have my promise on that. I like my face the way it is, thanks.”

Thank God. He finally got the message.

“You better put some clothes on.” I throw a robe at him. “The guards I left with them will be bringing them up soon.”

He jogs off to his bedroom as the suite doors open, and in walks East and her friend flanked by security.

“What the hell are we doing in here?” East asks.

“Because I need to talk to you and, now that your friend is involved, her, too.”

“Do you know what? I’m fucking sick of your riddles. I’m sick to death of you not talking straight. You are just like my fucking brothers. I swear you’re like their best friend or something.”

“You’d be right there, East. I am West’s best friend,” I say as I pull off the wig and throw it on the table. Her face is shocked as I start to remove the fake sleeves, revealing my own ink.

“What the hell? You wear a wig? Oh my god. You’re a fucking weirdo!” she yells, grabbing her friend’s arm. “We’re leaving.” She spins and heads for the door.

“East McGarry, you stop right there!” I demand. And she does. Fuck. That makes my dick twitch. She is so fucking directable.

She spins back around and takes two steps forward. “Who the fuck are you? And do not lie. I know people, and they will kill you in a second.”

This brings a smile to my face because the person she is referring to, is me.

“East. I am Zed.” I can’t look at her eyes anymore. They draw me in, and I lose focus.

“You’re… Zed? As in, my brother West’s best friend?”

“Yes, I think we have now finally established that.” I smile.

“Then why are you dressed as Drake, and why do you look just like him?”

“He’s my brother. My twin brother, to be precise. He has a problem. Which, now that you’re here, I’m hoping you can help with it.”

“You’re... Drake… So… Ah, shit.” She rubs her forehead. “Was that you in London?” I nod in response.

“So, it wasn’t Drake, and he wasn’t ignoring me?” I shake my head. I’m keeping quiet. Maybe she’ll say what’s gone on between them if I don’t ask.

“I thought you were Drake, and when you blanked me, I thought it was because I’d been sick all over your room or that you just didn’t recognise me.”

Bingo—happy party in my pants. East is the puker. She never slept with him. Fanfuckingtastic.

“Nope, never set eyes on you before in my life, but I am very pleased to meet you now, and I am also relieved you were sick that night you spent with my brother, or he would have another death warrant out for him right now. I’m already dealing with one.” I laugh.
