I was shocked that my knee-jerk reaction was to want to tempt fate like that. It felt so wonton and hot, the idea of having to sneak it.

As he sucked on my neck, I tilted my head to the side but pouted when he stopped and asked, “Tell me, angel. Are we going to play? Your body's telling me you like this idea.”

My pussy throbbed, and I tried to prevent myself from rubbing against his leg like an animal in heat as I whispered, “Yes. Let’s play.”

As he removed his hands from my eyes, I glanced down at the book to see if I recognized the title or author. I didn’t, and it only made this more interesting as I cracked it open and flipped through the pages, skimming the contents. It was the third book in a series, which would normally have been confusing, but thankfully I wasn’t here for the plot—only the smut.

“Mmm, I like this book,” he murmured as he read over my shoulder.

Chuckling lightly, I ignored him, trying to figure out just how far I wanted this to go. How had it only been two days ago that we were in my story with him swirling his tongue over my nipples before Hannah so rudely interrupted us?

This book had multiple men for the female main character, and I had to wonder if it was fate that I chose this one out of all the others.

Lucien must have been on the same train of thought as he asked, “Do you want me to grab Kylo and Elwin so you can choose one of those?”

Common sense told me there was no way I was going to be able to handle the double penetration that was happening in this chapter, seeing as I was a virgin. Rolling my eyes at his hilarious tenacity, I whispered, “Maybe next time.”

Flipping back towards the start of the book, I found the perfect scene, which somehow correlated with needing to stay quiet for the FMC and myself. “Found it,” I announced and skimmed through a few paragraphs.

Sliding a hand over my mouth, Lucien stifled the squeak that came from me as he picked me up and gently placed me down onto the floor on my back. As his red eyes glowed from above, he explained in a husky voice, “I may have given you a head start by getting you in the right position.”

“Such a gentleman, you are,” I teased before pulling the book up above my face as he began to pull my leggings down.

“Start reading, angel,” he instructed. “And remember…if you stop reading, I stop what I’m doing.”

I could hardly believe I was doing this right now. Typically I was a rule-follower and stayed under the radar, hating attention. It felt amazing to let go of that control like I’d been telling myself to, and to live a bit more voraciously.

After all, what’s the point in living if you don't test your own boundaries every now and then? Who knew what was waiting on the other side of that.
