Satisfied I’d pulled every ounce of pleasure that I could from her, I jumped up and winked at her as she blinked rapidly like she was coming back down to reality from another world. “Get dressed and I’ll hold them off.”

My reminder that someone was coming seemed to be what brought her fully back down, and she squeaked and tugged her tank top down and grabbed her leggings that were next to her face.

Jogging over to the top of the staircase, I took a few steps down and leaned against the banister, smirking as I saw Elwin doing the same with paper and a pen in his hand. He seemed to be waiting, and as he looked up at me, the tips of his ears were pink as he admitted, “I heard her and didn’t want to interrupt.”

Smirking at his polite ways, I enjoyed the blush that crept from his ears to his cheeks as I admitted, “You should have. I think she would have enjoyed you watching me eat her pussy.”

His hands tightened on his supplies as he shook his head and walked past me. “If she wants something like that, she’ll have to explicitly tell me that. That seems like an invasion of privacy otherwise.”

I’d pay good money to see his face when he realized the hellfire that was our girl. I had a feeling she was going to blow his mind, but who knew with Elwin? A saying popped into my head that seemed to fit: It’s the quiet ones you have to look out for. Maybe he’d surprise us all instead.

Turning and following him to a table that he set the supplies onto, I watched as Alexandra walked over to meet us, face still flushed from her orgasm as she tucked her hair behind her ears and sat next to Elwin on a couch. Sinking down into the plush leather chair next to them, I noted that my glow had faded already, but the energy I felt was like a fucking high that wasn’t going away.

“So, I had an idea to try to get us more answers,” Elwin started as he handed the pen to her. “You said that you were able to reach us through the stories you wrote, and that was definitely the world we were in, so let’s see if you can still access it.”

Quick steps pounded up the stairs, and Kylo jogged over to join us with a black leatherbound book in hand. “Alright, I’m here. Let’s see what you can do, darling.”

Kylo sat in the chair opposite me and on the other side of the table, dropping the book onto it as he looked at Alexandra expectantly. Her eyes shifted across us as she fiddled with her hands and the pen like she was feeling uncomfortable.

Elwin was quick to soothe her with a hand on her back. “Hey, there’s no pressure. If you don’t want to do this right now, we can wait.”

Giving herself a shake, her hand tightened on the pen as she leaned forward and pulled the paper closer on the table. “No, I can do it now. I’ve just never been around anyone when I write my stories, so it feels different,” she explained. “It’s always been my private escape that I never let anyone else see.”

“Do you want us to walk away?” Kylo suggested, to which she shook her head again.

“I appreciate that, but it’s okay. Just give me a moment to try and immerse myself into it, please.”

Sinking back against the chair, I watched with curiosity as she closed her eyes and hovered her pen over the paper. We remained quiet, minutes passing until the craziest fucking thing happened.

Glowing purple marks appeared on her face that I, for one, had never seen before, at the same moment her pen began to move across the paper. A mixture of triangles, dots, and lines centered around her eyes and between her brows.

Kylo, Elwin, and I exchanged looks that silently asked each other if we knew what was going on. From the incredulous looks on all our faces, it was obvious we were all in the dark here.

A few lines were filled on the paper before her brows pulled together and her nose scrunched up. Sighing heavily, she opened her eyes and groaned in exasperation. Her marks faded away, leaving her usually pale skin unmarked. “It’s not working. I don’t know if it’s because I feel pressure right now, but as soon as I sink into the world, I can’t picture you guys anymore.”

“Uhm…” I began, intending to tell her about the marks, but stopped as she tossed the pen down in anger.

Throwing her hands up, she huffed out, “I’m sorry. I know you guys were counting on me to try to find more answers. I think it’s hard now to picture you there because you’re tangible to me now, or something.”

Elwin tossed his arm around her shoulder and drew her to lean against him. “Love, something did happen.”

Pushing against his chest, she looked at him before glancing at Kylo and then myself. “What?”

“I think you did channel that world, angel,” I admitted. “There were marks glowing on your face when you began writing, and they disappeared the second you stopped.”
