This one was a deep wine red that went well with my skin tone. The neckline was a bit revealing, yet it didn’t look trashy on me, and the spaghetti straps felt durable in my hand. It was classy in an understated kind of way… until you got to the hem. The dress was long, and it flared around my hips, following a slight diagonal glittery pattern, with a slit on the side that revealed one leg from my knee down. It flowed to my ankles, which really wouldn't be problem with the right shoes.

The material was soft and it felt heavenly against my skin. There were a few more dresses I hadn't tried yet, but I didn’t want to bother. This was the dress.

I opened the door, a little nervous for Logan’s reaction, and stood in front of the three-panel vanity mirror.

“Can you zip me up?” I asked, turning my back to him. Logan set down his glass and stood up slowly. His eyes heated their way across my skin, just before meeting mine in the mirror.

He walked over, his gaze never leaving mine, and then I felt his cold fingertips on the bare skin of my back. He zipped the dress up all the way, and then moved his body closer to mine.

“Do you like it?” I asked softly.

He swallowed hard before answering. “I love it.”

“Thank you.”

His lips gently skimmed the exposed skin on my shoulder. “I’m the one who should be thanking you. For indulging me with all of this, even when I know how overwhelming it could be, and for agreeing to be on my arm tonight. I will be envied by every man there for having the most beautiful girl with me.”

I smiled. “Now you’re exaggerating.”

“I’m not,” he whispered, and his eyes looked almost gold in this light as they once again made their way down my body. Who needed a winter coat when I had Logan’s eyes on me?

He turned to the sales lady. “We need shoes. Not too high, I don’t want her to fall, and something comfortable. She’ll be dancing in them tonight.”

The lady gave us a small smile and walked off.

I turned to him, suddenly nervous about tonight. “Logan, I don’t know how to dance. I have never danced in my entire life. I don’t want to embarrass you.”

“Nonsense. You could never embarrass me.”

“What if I fall?”

He leaned down and captured my lips in his. I sagged against him. I didn’t think I could ever get used to his kisses. When he pulled back, he rested his forehead against mine. I opened my eyes and looked at him. “I’ll catch you.”
