I showed him my teeth and he smiled, shaking his head. “No,” he answered. “You’re perfect.”
I blushed and looked down at my plate. “Thank you. You are, too.”
He laughed then and walked over to me with his own plate. “Oh, baby. I am a lot of things, but perfect isn’t one of them.”
I looked him up and down. I was sure my eyes mirrored his earlier when I first walked in. “You’re perfect,” I said with conviction. At least, perfect for me, scars and all.
He tweaked my nose and took a seat beside me, taking a huge bite of his breakfast. I tried not to stare too much, but everything about Logan fascinated me beyond comprehension. There was just something about him that I couldn’t get enough of.
Logan swallowed a forkful of food, and I felt it deep in my belly and between my thighs. I clenched my fist and looked down at my food once more, my thoughts a million miles away.
When would we do what we did last night again? I knew I was putting all the control in his hands. I also knew that if I initiated anything, he wouldn’t stop me, but thinking about it and doing it were two completely different things.
I had only been with two guys before, but they had never made me feel the way Logan did. Neither one of them had drove my heart into overdrive with just a single glance, and neither one of them had intimidated me quite as much as Logan did.
It was usually the other way around. I knew I could come across as abrasive at times, but that was the only way I knew how to be, and for so long, it had been my weapon to keep anyone from getting close. But I already knew Logan was different from anyone I had ever met before. And I wanted to break all of my rules with him.
I wanted to experience everything with him.
“What are you thinking about?” Logan asked me, his voice bringing me out of my musing.
“Nothing,” I answered coolly. I learned my lesson. I didn’t need Logan to know I was thinking about him.
“Okay, so I have a question,” he said, and I turned to him. “Do you know how to drive?”
I shook my head. “No. I never learned how.”
“I thought as much. Would you like to learn?”
I shot him an amused smile. “Are you volunteering to teach me?” I didn’t know why, but the thought seemed funny to me.
“Yes. I think it’s smart to know how to drive. And besides, once you’ve graduated and have a car of your own, you would need to know how to drive to get yourself to work.”
“You mean you won’t be driving me then?” I joked.
“If it’s what you wanted, I’d drive you everywhere, every day, for the rest of my life,” he said seriously, and I lost my smile.
“I was just kidding. You don’t even have to drive me now.”
He leaned down and placed a chaste kiss on my cheek. “Well, I’m not kidding. I love being able to do this for you.”
“You’re sweet,” I said with a small smile. “Gah!”
He licked my cheek. I moved my hand up and wiped away the wet spot, glaring at him.
“So are you,” he said, grinning happily to himself. I gave him a dirty look and made a show of wiping my already dried cheek again.
His smile widened. “So how about it? Can I teach you to drive?”
“When?”
“How about tomorrow? You’re not doing anything, right?”
“I have homework.” I couldn’t afford to fall behind on my schoolwork. I was so damn close to graduation, I could taste it.
“I know. How about you spend the night here with me tonight? You can bring your homework. Do it here. Then I’ll let you take me out for a spin.”
“Again? Aren’t you sick of me?”
