He growled again.

“Tell you what. Why don’t you wait on the plane for me? If none of the strippers are hot enough, I’ll let you do the honors.” The odds of that happening were almost 0. But it didn’t hurt to have a backup plan.

“You’re not going anywhere.”

“Yes I am. Or have you forgotten about the little video we made?”

He reached into his jacket pocket and handed me a grainy photo of a Samoan shoulder tatt. “This is Luigi Locatelli’s enforcer. I have good intel that he’s here in Miami. Good luck not getting kidnapped by him tonight.” He slapped the picture onto my chest and turned to walk away.

To anyone standing on the tarmac he must have looked so hot strutting his stuff. Which gave me an idea…

“Wait!” I called.

He stopped and turned back.

I tossed him my phone.

“We need a slow-mo video of us getting off the plane.” I ran back up the stairs. “Come on, girls!” I waved back into the plane for them to come join me.

“I probably didn’t hear this right, but did he say something about us getting kidnapped?” asked Ash.

“Oh, you know Ghost. He’s just being a drama queen.” I flipped my hair and strutted down the stairs again. This time trying to make Ghost drool. What? Sue me. I had a thing for Ghost. I wanted him to growl my name while pounding me from behind.

I got it perfect on the very first take, but someone - *cough* Ash *cough* - totally flubbed it. It was like she had never walked in heels before. So I had her swap her 6” heels out for some flats. Take two was better. But still not perfect. Take three was perfection.

“Thanks, Ghostie!” I said. I stood on my tiptoes and gave him a kiss on the cheek. “Now go wait on the plane like a good boy.” I slapped his ass and shooed him off.

And then the sky opened up.

“Ahhh!” I screamed. “Ghostie! Save us!”

He just grunted and walked off. But somehow the rain never touched my head. Or any of my bridesmaids.

I looked around in confusion.

Was this a bachelorette party miracle? The work of God?!

No. It was the work of Teddybear.

He’d come out of nowhere with two umbrellas and saved us from getting absolutely drenched.

“Teddybear! My savior!”

He smiled down at me.

“Get us to Club Ice without any of us getting a drop of rain on our dresses, and I’ll give you a special surprise next week.”

He nodded and walked us over to a limo.

Fifteen minutes later we were at Club Ice. Teddybear once again held umbrellas over us as we walked to the entrance of the club. The rain dripping off the ice-like façade created a cool melting effect.

“Don’t we have to wait in line?” asked Ash, pointing to the massive line wrapping all the way around the building.

“Watch and learn.” I strutted right up to the bouncer. But he moved to block our path.

“ID please,” he said.

“It’s my bachelorette party.” I pointed half at my bride-to-be sash and half at my breasts.
