Ash went ghostly pale.

“What’s wrong?” I asked. “You look so pale. Almost like that stripper you pretended was a banana luge!” I reached up to give her a high five. “That was so fucking epic. It’ll definitely make the highlight reel.”

Ash didn’t move.

She looked at Esme. “Is it true?”

Ash’s eyes got huge. “Parents… Oh God. Do you think my dad is gonna see it?”

“Oh, for sure. Most of their videos get like 20 million views. He’s gonna be so proud of you!”

“No he isn’t. He’s gonna kill me!”

“Weird. You and your daddy have a strange relationship.”

“Are you telling me you’d actually be okay with your dad watching that video?”

“Sure,” I said with a shrug. “Why wouldn’t I be? It’s just sex. Everyone does it. But anyway, they’ll use the names from our fake IDs, if they credit us at all. So your daddy probably won’t even know it’s you.”

“I thought that was a door prize! And the release was to get out of prison!” Ash was breathing so fast. “You can’t let them post that video! I’ll die!”

“Let me get this straight. You don’t want them to share that amazing footage with the world?” I didn’t understand what was happening. Starring in a Banana Party video was like…the coolest thing ever. “A second ago you thought it was so cool.”
