I’m actually in the lobby.
I roll my eyes. Why is he asking when he’s already here anyway? You should’ve just come up.
I didn’t want to get in the way of your reunion.
I snort at the faux innocence coming through the text. He’s too nosy and curious to stay away for long. As a matter of fact, it’s a miracle he didn’t come by earlier. Then you should’ve stayed away.
Don’t be a hater. I brought donuts!
Ivy comes downstairs.
I say, “Harry’s coming up. He says he brought donuts if you want to grab one before heading out to see Yuna.”
“I’m not going out to see her right now. She’s not answering my texts or calls.” Ivy bites her lower lip, her teeth scraping the mole under her lip.
“She might be sleeping in. Or shopping or something. There’s no way she’s avoiding you.” I know Yuna wants to make up with Ivy.
Ivy nods. “You’re right. Bobbi says she’s going to stretch and nap in her room, and I told her fine. I don’t think she slept well last night.”
“Probably not,” I say.
Despite how tough Bobbi appears, she feels physical pain just like everyone else, and the bastard rammed into her Escalade as hard as he could. Thank God the driveway was circular so he couldn’t achieve the speed to do more serious damage.
Ivy gives me a small smile. “I hope Harry brought some chocolate ones.”
