Cringe. That whole thing was completely cringeworthy. “That’s Diana’s thing and could you not talk about what my best friend gets wet over?” It took everything in me to hold back a gag.
There was no doubt my brother might have known what my best friend liked and didn’t. I absolutely didn’t want to know if they’d had sex. That wasn’t something that I needed to know to get by.
He got this cocky grin on his face as he slithered toward me. “Does that bother you? Do you not want to know about the noises Diana makes when she—”
Slapping my hands over his mouth was the only way to get him to stop.
“Please. Don’t.”
His laughter shook my arms until he licked my hands, forcing me to pull them away.
I yelped. “You’re so gross.”
“I try.” Now he grabbed my arms to pull me closer. “Listen, Trin. I hate seeing that shit. Or seeing the start of it, knowing what’s going down when you disappear with one of the brothers. There’s just nothing I can do about it and I’m not allowed to tell you why. But trust me when I tell you that this is the best thing to keep you safe. If shit gets out, the club will protect you. But I need you to be careful because we can’t go out defending a club whore.”
“I’m your sister.” It was a weak protest, but it was all I had.
“I’m your brother. Just trust me.”
I bit on my bottom lip to keep from responding then gave him a quick nod.
Trusting him wasn’t a question. I didn’t fully trust him, but he knew all of my secrets and right now, I didn’t have much choice. Plus, if he didn’t get out of here soon, I’d miss my window with Miles.
And I tried hard to never miss an opportunity to spend time with Miles Hamilton.
