I smile and feel my eyes well with tears again. “I do.”
“Good, then we have ten hours to figure out how this is going to work because, by the time we land, I’ll be needing to…” He pauses and looks around before whispering, “Re-acquaint myself with your body.”
I blush again. “It’s only been two days.”
“Two days too many.”
I giggle. “I think…we can arrange that, but there’s just one thing.”
“What’s that, buttercup?”
“I think we’ll need to share a room.”
He grins. “Now that, we’re very good at.”
He leans in and kisses me, and I know at this moment that this is the beginning of something. I can’t help wondering if somewhere out there our parents brought us together or the universe saw fit for us to meet or maybe it was just a stroke of luck, but whatever caused our worlds to collide was cataclysmic. Our souls entwined together this week and I’m not sure they can ever be disentangled. And I’m good with that because this man belongs with me and I belong with him and all the other details, well, we’ll figure those out later…maybe, tomorrow in a hotel room with one bed.
