“I love her,” Blaine admits softly.

I blink at him and nod. “I know.”

I don’t think it needs to be said that I feel the same. The elevator doors open to the penthouse and I chuckle as Blaine walks directly toward the room, looking dead on his feet. Kaden looks up from where he is relaxing on the couch, his brow dipping as he looks over Sloane.

“Exhausted,” I mumble as he searches my expression and nods. I still feel wronged by Kaden if we’re being honest. I understand it but I don’t like it. Loyalty is extremely important to me and even more when it comes to those I consider part of my family. Kaden was someone I respected but at this point I’m not sure how much I fucking trust him.

When I walk into the bedroom, I chuckle finding Blaine passed out in a nearby chair. Man. He’s going to be so hungover in the morning. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the guy drink that much. I gently place her down on the bed and kiss Sloane’s forehead, tugging off her sandals and then pulling the dress off of her gently. I mutter a curse noticing that she’s wearing a set of dark blue lace lingerie. Clearly I hadn’t been paying attention while fucking her downstairs. I fight the urge to tug the lace cup down and take her breast in my mouth, teasing her nipple until she wakes up. I groan, tugging a shirt over her after sliding her bra off her arms, not trusting myself to sleep with her naked. Walking into the bathroom, I wash my face and take off my tux, hanging it on the door before padding toward the bed, sliding under the covers.

The moment she’s in my arms, I feel everything inside me relax. No matter what tomorrow brings. Tonight she’s in my arms.

“I love you, Sloane,” I murmur as she sighs in her sleep.

Maybe tomorrow I’ll actually tell her when she’s awake.
