I bit my lower lip. We’d become closer in the last month. He was my biggest confidant. I had told him more about my life than I ever had before. It was easy to confide in him. He was always there for me, and I didn’t have that with anyone.

Rebel Rider: Do you want me on the back of your bike?

 Full Throttle: I asked first.

 I rolled my eyes.

 Rebel Rider: Maybe…

 Full Throttle: Just maybe?

Rebel Rider: Your turn to answer.

Full Throttle: I’d love for you to spread your legs for me.

 My eyes widened.

Full Throttle: On the back of my bike, of course.

Before I chickened out, I typed back.

Rebel Rider: Just on the back of your bike?

Full Throttle: Don’t ask questions you aren’t ready to hear the answer to.

Rebel Rider: What if I am?

 Full Throttle: You’re not.

Rebel Rider: How do you know?

Full Throttle: I know a lot of things about you, Belle Montgomery.

I jerked back, almost falling out of my chair.

Rebel Rider: How do you know my name? I never told you that.

Full Throttle: You didn’t have to.

Rebel Rider: What’s that supposed to mean?

 Full Throttle: Be careful tonight.

I went to reply, but he logged off. He did that sometimes when he didn’t want to respond to my questions.

I rolled my eyes again. “Great.”

I ignored the looming feeling in the pit of my stomach and jumped into the shower instead. After I was done, I grabbed my faux leather leggings and a crop top. Throwing on a flannel next, I stepped into my black combat boots, finishing off my outfit. Letting my hair flow loosely around my face, I then applied a light layer of makeup. Some mascara, blush, and lip gloss completed my vibe for the night.

My parents were at some charity event. I didn’t have to worry about running into them as I made my way downstairs to the front door, where Erica was waiting in my driveway.

“Look at you, babe! You look like a rebel!”

I smiled wide, loving that she’d called me that.

We hit it off pretty quickly in chem class, but this was the first time I was hanging out with her.

“Are you excited?” she asked, driving.
