“Poppy,” Aaron groaned, kissing me hard as he came, collapsing on top of me.
We lay there, my hands stroking along his spine, his head on my shoulder, and the stars winking down on us, and it was perfect.
“Hands down better than any win,” he said, and I dug my fingers into his sides, viciously tickling. “Stop, stop.” He wriggled on top of me. “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have compared the best sex of my life to football.”
“The best sex of your life, huh? Doesn’t give us much to practice for if you’re already calling it the best sex of your life.”
Aaron’s eyes twinkled with adoration, but the lights guttered out a little as he said, “I don’t deserve you.”
“I’ll be the judge of that.” I clasped my hands around his neck and dragged his mouth to mine. “I love you Aaron the Greatest. But if you ever break my heart again, I’ll let my dad loose on you.”
Aaron studied me, a faint smile playing on his lips.
“Guess I’ll just have to make sure I don’t then.”
“You know I’m not going to do this every morning,” Sofia grumbled from upfront.
“You offered, Sis,” Aaron said, nuzzling my neck.
“Aaron, we should stop. I don’t want Sofia to feel uncomfortable.”
“Yeah. Yeah,” she scoffed. “I’m sure you’re both very concerned for my well-being.”
“You could always ride with Cole,” I suggested. “I’m sure he’d love to—”
“Why the fuck would she ride with Kandon?” Aaron glared at me.
“Because they’re friends? Because he’s a good guy and probably wouldn’t mind giving her a ride. Because he’s going to be just as pissed at our new… situation.”
“Situation?” he barked. “We don’t have a situation, Poppy. You’re my girlfriend.”
“Well, I didn’t want to assume.”
We’d spent the entire day together yesterday and we hadn’t talked about labels and I didn’t want to bring it up first. Not when everything was so new and fragile.
“God help me,” Sofia murmured, pulling into a parking spot. She cut the engine and twisted around to face us. “I love you both dearly and I’m happy you figured your shit out, I am. But please, for the love of my sanity, keep the PDA to a minimum.”
“Someone’s pissy,” Aaron whispered, his warm breath sending a shiver through me.
Apparently being in a new relationship made you sex crazy because all I could think about was Aaron naked and touching me, every minute of every day.
“Poppy Star, you’re doing it again.” He smirked at me.
“W-what?”
“Looking at me like you want to eat me up.”
“And I’m done. See you in class, assholes.” Sofia shouldered the door and climbed out, not bothering to say goodbye.
“Are we really that bad?” I asked, smothering a chuckle.
“She’ll get used to it. She has no choice because I plan on lots and lots of PDA.” Aaron slid his hand into the back of my hair and kissed me. Soft, lazy licks that made my body stir to life.
“Class,” I breathed, heat pooling low in my stomach. “We need to get to class.”
“Or we could sneak under the bleachers and make out.”
“Class, Aaron. Besides, don’t you have a meeting with my dad?”
