He growls in warning, but a second later, his mouth is on mine. He kisses me like I’m all he’s ever wanted, lips bruising and hungry. I wiggle my arm, and he releases it so I can cling to him, wrapping my arms around his body and tugging him closer. The head of his cock teases my center. Normally I would play the game, drawing out the humiliation until he’s satisfied, but I’m too impatient today.
Lucas is the most surprising of all the guys because he puts on such a hard front. He wants me to beg for him, but the truth is he’s the one who needs the most reassurance. He’s afraid to be hurt. He’s worried I don’t want them.
“Lucas,” I whisper, breaking away from his kiss. “I need you so bad it hurts. My body needs your mark. I need your knot. I need all of you.” I kiss his jaw. “I can’t be in this pack without you. Make me your omega.”
“Fuck,” he mutters, surprised I gave in so easily. “You’re getting good at that.” He thrusts into me, my core stretching to accommodate his girth.
“Just like that,” I say, taking his lips with mine. “Just like that,” I whisper as he fucks me on the counter like a man in need. His thumb finds my clit, and he presses down, swirling over me until I’m whimpering for an orgasm.
“So. Fucking. Perfect.” His dick swells, and his teeth find my neck. The delicious stretch makes stars burst across my vision. I scream his name, and he growls as his teeth sink into my skin.
Tingles race through me as the marks set, three invisible threads tying me to these men. All of the doubt I’ve ever felt and every ounce of fear disappears. These alphas would never hurt me, and I was a fool to deny them for so long. They’re perfect in every way. My body trembles under the weight of the bond, core clenching around Lucas as I come again, moaning as I become theirs and they become mine.
These alphas are mine.
I’m theirs.
And I wouldn’t change it for the world.
Epilogue
TWO MONTHS LATER
REAGAN
Change is slow but progressing. Every time Lucas has a public event where he details the ways in which the low packs will become part of the council and which laws have been struck down, Cory, Marco, and I go with him. I stand on the stage, a proud smile set on him as I watch him do what he was born to do.
Lead.
This is the third convention this month, the third city we’ve traveled to, and the third crowd that’s given him a less than warm greeting. They expect the usual song and dance, but by the end of his speech, they’re hopeful and the applause is loud. A few people refuse to clap, and I can’t say I blame them for being skeptical, but Lucas is a man of his word.
The first law he abolished was the land and business ownership law. I was there when he approved the first bakery a pack wanted to open for their omega. The election for the council seats will be held next month. Instead of the traditional twelve royal positions, they’re evenly split. Six families from the royal side, six families from the low packs. Eventually, the goal is to get rid of royal and low pack designations altogether, but until everyone proves they can do what’s right for the community as a whole, they’ll stay.
Things with the Omega Council are going well. After careful consideration, I decided to keep the compatibility tests, but instead of automatically assigning omegas to the pack they’re most compatible with, they get to meet with the top five packs to see who they feel is the best fit. If for some reason an omega doesn’t like any of the five, she has the opportunity to keep searching. I ruffled a few feathers when I laid out my plans, but more than one omega has thanked me for the change. It’s nice to feel a little ownership over your future, and if I can help others reach their happy ending too, I’m going to do it.
Lucas walks toward the backstage, an energetic smile pulling at his lips. “So?”
“Wonderful as always.” I hug him and step back, letting Marco and Cory give him bro hugs.
“Hungry?” Cory asks, bumping me with his elbow.
“Maybe later. First, there’s something I’d like to do.”
The guys give me worried looks.
“It’s not bad,” I say quickly. “Trust me on this, okay?”
They nod their agreement, so I turn and head to the car before I chicken out. I hop in the driver seat, ignoring Lucas’ grumbling about how he should be the one to drive, and wait for them to get in. Lucas sits in the back with Cory, and Marco sits next to me, waggling his eyebrows.
“I hope there’s a happy ending.”
“Maybe later.” I wink.
Once they’re buckled, I head toward the cemetery at the edge of the city. We’re nearly there before they catch on. Marco side-eyes me, and Lucas and Cory sit a little straighter, exchanging confused looks. They don’t say anything to stop me when I turn in and head toward Emily’s plot. After making sure I wouldn’t trash her grave out of some misguided omega emotions, Amelie told me where I could find her. I park on the narrow gravel road and climb out of the vehicle.
They follow me without a word, stopping in front of her headstone when I do. They bought a tall marble slab that has her picture on it. She was beautiful. I wait for a surge of jealousy, but it never comes. She’s not my competition. She’s a victim.
“I’m sorry this happened to you,” I say out loud, hoping the guys don’t think I’m crazy. “You deserved happiness.” I suck in a breath, trying to hold back the tears which magically appear in my eyes. I don’t know what they’re doing here, it’s not like this is sad or morbid. “I’ll take care of them for you.”
