“Shh,” Cory says to Marco who makes a face back.

Shoving a handful of popcorn into my mouth, I try to chew through my sexual frustration, but Marco and Cory scoot closer to me so they can lean back and take the snacks without having to move. They cage me in, and with every passing second, my body heats from being so close. I shift, and my thighs rub together, making it clear how much they are affecting me.

“Reagan,” Cory whispers. “There’s a new rule.”

“I thought you said no talking,” Marco grumbles.

Cory pauses the movie. “This is an exception.” He looks at me and inhales, groaning in frustration. “Rule number four: No perfuming.”

“Like I can control it,” I say, dropping the popcorn on the table and standing. “This is your fault.” I point my finger at him. “And yours.”

“We didn’t do anything,” Marco says.

I shake my head. “Lies. You both kept touching me, and when I moved the popcorn, you decided to practically sit on me.”

“Not my kink, babe.”

“Shut up,” I snap at Marco, the wine making me a little reckless. “If my scent is a problem, I’ll leave.” Storming out of the room, I stomp up the stairs to drown out Cory calling my name. I get to my room, but before I can slam the door closed, Lucas’ hand smacks against the wood, and he shoves inside, closing the door and leaning against it.

“I told you to go to bed.” He stares me down, all cocky and knowing like he could have saved me the trouble.

“No, you asked if I was tired. I wasn’t.”

“You can’t hang around us.”

“Why? Because none of you can control your dicks?”

He scoffs. “Please, you’re the one who can’t control herself.”

Crossing the room in three steps, I press against him and lift up on my toes, hovering my mouth inches from him. “Oh yeah?” I dig my hips against his, his erection digging into my stomach. “Then what’s this?”

He grabs my waist and stops my movements. “Nothing but nature.”

“I can’t control my pheromones,” I warn. “If you guys can’t handle it, send me back to the auctions.”

“No.” He leans closer so our lips almost touch. “You’re ours.”

God, that sounds so fucking hot.

“Wrong.” I wrench away from him. “I’d like to be alone now.”

He doesn’t move for a minute, and I start to wonder if he’s going to make me beg, but he finally nods and slips out of my room, shutting the door behind him. I grab the chair from the desk and slip it under the knob. I don’t think they’ll burst in here, but the chair makes me feel secure, so I leave it and flop onto the bed.

“This sucks,” I say to the empty room, rolling over and curling into a ball.

ChapterTen

REAGAN

I wake up grumpy on Sunday morning. My dreams were filled with alphas giving me everything I’ve ever wanted, including no children. They didn’t care about that in my dreams. With a heavy sigh, I roll out of bed and go brush my teeth, scrubbing harder than necessary and scowling at myself in the mirror.

I thought I was better than this. Panting after alphas is for weak omegas. I’m strong. I can and will live with them without releasing my scent every twenty seconds. Once I get over the initial shock of being around them, I’m sure it’ll wear off. This is a temporary situation. Soon enough, I’ll grow immune to their charms and touch, Lucas will piss me off more than I can stand, and we’ll be able to keep the charade of me being a maid going until they get tired of me and find someone else to torture. I spit and rinse, wiping my mouth on the towel and leaning my hands on the counter.

“Don’t let them get under your skin,” I say to my reflection.

My phone chirps, interrupting my conversation with myself. My stomach knots with nerves when I go to grab it. Sure enough, Mom is calling again. I’ve put her off long enough, and now I’m being an asshole. Deciding I can handle her anger, I hit the green button and hold the phone to my ear.

“Hey, Mom.”
