Jo: I can’t wait! It’s been so long.

Over a year. I didn’t want to bring Tori out until things had settled down between A.C.K., the Philly Vipers, and the 609 Vandals. After the attack the night the guys and I went to get cars for the shop, Lark and Vette eradicated the Vandals, but I wanted to be sure no cockroaches would come crawling in. With Edmund dead, the Philly Vipers fully backed off too. Everyone I killed after the bombing were old Philly Viper leaders who all had beef with Damien. A tense meeting between the new leadership and me and my guys was all it took to establish boundaries and enact a peace treaty.

There was already enough bloodshed at the hands of the old leadership.

Call me cynical, but it took me an entire year of seeing the Philly Vipers hold up their end before I began to trust them to keep their word. I couldn’t risk my family coming to visit until I knew they’d be safe.

Tori: Yes! I can’t wait to meet your mates. So many tattoos.

Jo: Don’t be jealous. Maybe Mark can get some :P.

Tori: Please, that man is afraid of needles. Besides, he’s hot as can be without them.

Jo: Is he?

Tori: Bitch.

Jo: Jerk.

Tori: Love you :)

I grin to myself.

Jo: Love you, too. Safe travels.

Smiling as I set my phone on the bedside table, I make a mental list of all the things I need to get done before they arrive. I’m busy thinking when Vette pointedly clears his throat behind me.

Right. The job.

I turn around and find the guys on their knees before me. Lark and Mac aren’t dressed up like Vette; they’re in all-black and are strapped with weapons. The alphas grin at me in sync and my hackles rise.

“What the fuck are you doing?” I ask, clutching the phone like a weapon.

My heart slams against my chest.

Vette shakes his head. “Come on, mami. You know what we’re doing.”

Mac extracts a velvet box from his pocket and hands it to Lark.

“Kitten.”

“Baby.”

“Mami,” Vette purrs.

Lark slowly opens the box, and my eyes widen on the giant diamond I’d stolen from Edmund. It’s set inside a gorgeous silver band. My grip tightens around the phone, and I suck in a sharp breath.

“We’re already mates,” Lark begins.

“But that’s beside the point,” Mac cuts in, glaring at Lark.

“Will you marry us?” Vette asks.

Marry them? What the actual fuck is going on?

Jerking out of my stupor, I glance at the ring. How the hell did they get that out of my safe? “You stole that from me!”

“All is fair in love and war, Kitten. Besides, look at how pretty it is.”
