Then she leaves her seat and climbs on stage, walking straight to a vampire with short brown hair. He smirks at her and runs his hand over his shaft. She drops to her knees and takes his hand off, wrapping her mouth around his dick and taking him deep into her throat.
“Oh my god,” I say and look away.
Evelyn isn’t at the table anymore either, and I already know where she is. I don’t check to see if I’m right. I know I am.
Colt is suddenly in front of me, and I meet his stormy green eyes, wrinkling my nose at him. I hide the sudden relief washing over me and say, “Please tell me you’re not about to go suck cock too.”
He curls his lip in disgust and hauls me out of my seat. “You’re drunk,” he says when I stumble slightly.
I narrow my eyes on him. “I’d like to see you try walking while someone is manhandling you.”
“No one would dare,” he says with a cocky grin, but he lets go of my arm.
No, I don’t miss the contact one bit.
“Do you want me to take you home?”
I shoot a cursory glance at the stage. Sure enough Evelyn and Alissa areextremelyoccupied at the moment. More women have filtered on stage, turning the harmful fashion show into a straight up orgy.
I don’t want to be left in a club full of horny vampires.
“Yeah, that’d be great.” We start to leave, but then I see the flash of familiar honey blonde hair. “Lexi?” I shout, but she can’t hear me over the music and the crowded club.
What the hell is she doing here?
Why is she letting a blood sucker drink from her? Is she a fucking feeder?
“Who is that?” Colt asks, wrapping a hand around my waist and speaking into my ear so I can hear him.
I don’t bat an eyelash at the contact. “My best friend.”
“Does she come here often?”
With a small frown, I shake my head. “No.”
He looks from me to her. I grab his shirt and he turns back to me.
“I’m sure, Colt. Lexi wouldn’t keep something like this from me.”
He furrows his brow and glances back at my friend who is now being carried to the back room.
“We have to get her.” I start to shove away from him, but he catches my hand. “Let me go, Colt.”
“Demi, listen,” he says, voice full of command. “Let me take you home. I will go get your friend personally and bring her to your apartment.”
“I’m coming with you.”
He shakes his head and places his hand on the back of my neck. “You’re drunk, I can’t take any chances with you, and if you get in trouble, she could get hurt too. Please let me take you home first. I promise I’ll get her for you.”
I stare into his eyes as the song changes and the lights turn from strobing red to pulsing purple and green.
His eyes are pleading with me to make the smart decision. I want nothing more than to fight with him, but if me going home will keep Lexi safe, I’ll do it. Which means I’m trusting Colt to follow through with his promise.
“Fine,” I whisper softly.
His supe hearing picks up the word and before I can see him move, he’s picked me up bridal style and flashes out of the club. I close my eyes and groan when my stomach lurches.
I am kind of drunk.
