Grayson stiffens slightly, and his fingers brush against mine. I jerk my hand away and cross my arms. These men are playing games. They’re like cats batting a mouse back and forth, kicking and flinging the inferior being around until they grow bored and decide to devour it.

Colt nods and looks up toward the left corner.

I follow his gaze and spot the tiny lens pointed toward the middle of the elevator. The space is small enough to only need one.

Grayson presses the button for level thirty-six. I stare at the lit-up number.

Thirty-six floors. How had I failed to notice how big of a building I’m in? There are several skyscrapers in downtown San Francisco. There are several other areas of town with buildings just as tall. There’s no telling where I am, which means I can’t orient myself and escaping will be harder. If I make a run for it, I’ll have to make a split-second decision on which direction to go once I get out of the building.

I eye the keyring attached to Grayson’s belt. He’s in tactical gear, whereas Colt is still in his business suit.

Stealing a car will take time, but it may be my best bet for a quick getaway. Running will do me no good, not with how fast they are.

I narrow my eyes at the glinting metal. In order to get close enough to steal the keys, I’m going to have to do some things I may not enjoy.

Who am I kidding?

I’ll definitely enjoy sleeping with Grayson. He’s had hundreds of years of experience. Talk about professional level sex game. I shiver and blush when I feel my nipples harden.

Both men swing their gazes in my direction, and I curse their supernatural senses.

“Penny for your thoughts, little tiger.”

I grind my jaw together and avoid their eyes. They have no idea what I plan to do to them. I’ll give a whole new meaning to fuck them and leave them. I’m sure those scenarios don’t usually end with a knife jammed into a jugular.

A deadly smile cuts across my face, and Colt shifts next to me.

“What are you thinking about now?”

I walk my fingers over the small railing of the elevator. “I need tampons.”

Grayson coughs and looks away.

Colt’s eyes stray to my lower body. “You’re bleeding?”

Sighing, I rest my hip against the cool metal. “No, but I will be. I assume that’s going to be a problem for you all, best to keep it contained, hmm?”

“We’re not aroused bythattype of blood.” Grayson covers a chuckle with his hand. His shoulders start to shake, and Colt smirks at him and huffs a soft laugh.

If I weren’t about to be dragged in front of their boss like a lamb to slaughter, I’d almost think they’re cute.

They’re not.

They’re assholes.

“Why is that funny?”

Grayson schools his face. “I’m not making fun of you, I promise.” His eyes beseech me, begging for forgiveness. “I don’t remember ever being asked if I like menstrual blood.”

I narrow my eyes on him, still annoyed by them laughing at my expense. It’s not a stupid assumption.

“The blood women seep from their caves is totally different from the blood which runs through the veins. Period blood has less blood cells and is contaminated by other,” he searches for a word, “things.”

I close my eyes and shake my head. “There are so many things wrong with what you said. First, caves? It’s a vagina, Colt. Pussy, snatch, cookie, hell, call it a cunt for fuck’s sake, but a cave? Really?”

He grimaces and starts to say something. I cut him off.

“Second, contaminated? Are you saying my glory box is full of hazardous waste, Colt?”
