Page 130 of Carmichael's Omega

I rub his thighs, assessing the skin pulled around the plug, his level of comfort. His omega wolf is passed out, clearly not too uncomfortable.

"Sí, Mattie. But if you start to feel too uncomfortable, you remove it."

He blushes. "I want to prepare for you," he says bravely.

I lean over and kiss him. "At your pace,Nene. I won't rush your sister for her ass, either. It can hurt if you aren't ready."

"Hey," Cassie mumbles sleepily. "Not cool."

Both Mattie and I laugh softly. I kiss her cheek, but she's already sleeping.

Gently I stroke her belly, where she carries my pup. The steady thrum of its heartbeat races under my hand.

"Can you hear the pup,Nene? Scent it?"

"No," Mattie sounds sad.

I smile at him and kiss his pouting mouth again. "Soon, you can start to examine your sister and our pup."

He brightens. "You'll let me be her doctor?"

"Of course,Nene. With supervision, but Cassidy will be more comfortable with you,sí?"

"Thank you, Carm," he says softly. His eyes are shining.

I rub my chest over my heart. This feeling is worth everything I'm about to do.

33 - Estúpido, Mason

Matthew

Cassie cuddles on my lap, with Nico's hand, held snuggly in hers. Carmichael is driving, and instead of putting her between him and me as usual, he shoved his brother there.

I don't mind the close confines. Nico complained about the smell wafting from us until Carmichael lowered both windows with a glare tossed Nico's way. We still smell, but Nico stopped complaining.

We drive back to Caluna in the Jeep, with Alize and Adriana in the backseat, gossiping. The strong thrum of motorcycles surrounding us like a presidential escort of Hell's Angels bikers.

"You stay at the Mu House, understand?" Carmichael says.

"The what house?" Alize says from the back seat.

"It's an insult that the Alpha-Ups came up with," Adriana supplies with a dry tone.

"They are assholes," Alize says primly.

Yeah, they are, but Carmichael is an Alpha-Up. "That's Carm's frat," I say, quietly defending our mate.

Nico snickers, "Mi hermano, the frat-douche."

Cassie shifts on my lap, uneasy. The Alpha-holes still scare me, and I'm pretty sure they frighten her, too.

"Mis Amores, you alright?" Carmichael hones in on our moods immediately. He's getting better and better at that, and we suck at hiding our feelings from him.

"They scare me," Cassie admits quietly after a pause. I nod. Me, too.

My mate reaches across his brother to grab Cassie's hand from Nico. He brings her fingers to his mouth, kissing her knuckles. "You don't worry about them,sí?"
