"We're going to go to the pumkin patch to get pumkins for the Harvest Festilal," he tells me happily.

I smile, "I think that's in the Fall, Sarg. Right now, we are getting ready for summer."

He frowns, "we're going to the pumkin patch, Lyri. Ms. Merrit says so."

"You're going to the farm to get flowers, pup," Inuit says absently.

Sarj looks at his brother, then smiles a gap-toothed grin at me, "we're gettin' flowers, Lyri. Pretty ones. Mine'll be the prettiest."

"I know. You're good with flowers, Sarj," I tell him proudly. It's not a lie. He is good with plants. He helped me with my little seedlings the males gave me to occupy my time.

"Alright," Thjis stands up. "Time for bed, pup."

Sarj whines and fusses as Thjis picks him up. His little body goes slack, a common occurrence in pups his age when an adult wolf picks them up. Thjis plays it up, carrying him stomach-down over his arm and pretending to drop him a dozen times going up the stairs.

"Night, everyone," Inuit stands and leaves, eyes glued to his screen. I may have to snoop later to see what he's watching or who he's talking to.

We clean up silently. I'm nervous in the quiet atmosphere. I feel a discussion coming on. Was my confession too much? Are they getting ready to bail on me?

Thjis comes back in and snatches my waist, guiding me to my cushioned chair without a word. I follow his lead, my heart starting to race as all three males sit down at the table with me.

"We need to discuss what happens next," Rhet announces in a low voice.

All three look at me expectantly. "OK?" I whisper.

"I say we leave and go back. Take everything with us," Thjis says abruptly.

"We can't just leave, Thjis," Ezra snaps.

"You may struggle with that, but-"

"My family is here. Lyri's family is here."

"I want to stay and fight," Rhet interjects. "It's why I called Carm to come and help-"

Who is Carm? Thjis wants to leave? Am I driving them from their home?

"Why fight? I say we take Lyri back to LoboGris. Daan'll follow. We kill him. Fucking done," Thjis barks.

"You really think RustClaw will let us kill their alphason and steal away their true Luna?" Ezra says sarcastically.

"I think they won't have a fucking choice," Thjis growls.

"If we bring war to LoboGris, my uncle will need to be informed of the entire situation," Rhet warns.

I feel like I'm watching a volleyball match. "Wait," I say quietly.

"You want to run, is that it, Thjis? The great warrior is turning up his belly?" Ezra sneers.

I jump in before Thjis punches Ezra in the face. "Stop it right now!" I shout.

All three turn their gazes to me. "My family is here. Ezra is right about that, but more importantly, your home is here." I point outside, "this is yours. Your blood, sweat, and tears built this. I'm not letting you give it up because Daan is a jerk."

Rhet looks at me intently, "Thjis is afraid you'll go back to him. He's your truemate."

I look at my Bear, startled.

"I'm sorry, baby. It's not that I think you'll betray us. But... he's an alphason, and we're-"
