Evie
Leo once toldme he was good at fixing broken things. I thought it was a line at the time. I really did. We had been joking around, he'd just stopped tickling me, and in the process, we'd knocked over a picture frame, the glass splintering.
Now that I know what kind of magic his hands possess, I'm not surprised.
He eased my worries about confessing I'm a virgin then took me on a ride I'll never forget. If sex is even half as good as what we did last night, I might combust as soon as it's over. I'll end up in a million little pieces on the floor, and he'll have to put me back together with his magic hands.
Totally worth it.
"We should get out of bed," he says as I rest my head on his chest.
We're both naked. We have been since last night. When the lights were off. Now that sunlight is streaming through the open slots in the curtains, I'm a little more self-conscious. The sheet is tucked under my chin, and I've kept my body pressed against his so he could feel it but not see it.
"Why?"
I'm not ready to go back out in the real world. I know it's probably time. I have to get my car from Brady's apartment still and head back to campus. I have a mountain of homework waiting for me that I was too distracted to do before our date. I'm sure Leo has things he needs to get done today as well.
"I have a meeting tonight. Plus, checkout is in like an hour. So if we're going to shower before we go, we have to get moving."
"Fine," I reply, rolling over and attempting to reach for my bag on the floor without giving him a peepshow of my naked ass.
The sheets are ripped away before I can secure my grip, and then I'm being hoisted in the air.
"Leo! What are you doing?" Leo drapes me across his shoulder, holding on to my legs as he walks into the bathroom.
"We're going to shower, Evie."
"Together?"
Instead of answering my question, Leo leans in and turns the water on. Next, he sets me on my feet in front of him, his eyes memorizing my body from my chin down to my toes and back up again, smiling in appreciation the entire time.
"I really hate your brother," he finally says, his eyes finding mine.
I've kept my focus on his face, afraid of what I might see if I look anywhere else. Not that I don't know what it feels like. He was like a steel rod against my leg most of the night. Long, thick, and hard.
My first thought: he's going to split me in two.
My second: I can't wait.
The anticipation is what's going to make the next week feel like a year. We only have class Monday through Wednesday. After my last class, I'm driving home to spend Thanksgiving with my mom and the Grahams. I promised Leo I'd come back to campus early Saturday morning since he'll be coming back then as well. Then Saturday night is when Julian is hosting dinner for everyone.
That's the day we're going to tell Max.
By showing up together.
Hand in hand.
It's the only plan we could come up with. Sure, we could go separate and pretend like nothing is going on between us and then make a huge announcement over dinner. Or we could wait until after pie is served and be like FYI...
I just want to get it over with.
I'm sick of pretending we're not together.
Plus, I'd really like to leave early. As soon as dinner is over. So we can spend some time alone together. Both Sierra and Craig are going to be gone for the entire weekend. We'll have both rooms to ourselves. No one to interrupt us.
"Evie," Leo says as he pulls me into the shower, blocking the water from raining down on me.
"I've never showered with someone before."
