He looked as though he questioned her sanity. He brushed her hair behind her ear. The act of tenderness touching her inside her heart.

“No, youkissed me.”

She looked at him, waiting for him to comprehend.

Ugh, men!

“Brayden, you kissed me, and it was perfect. I’ve finally beenpurrfectly kissed,” she practically screamed it to the world.

Hell, she wanted to, but then he’d probably really question her sanity.

Instead, herpurrfectmate just laughed along with her.

“Jess?”

“Yeah?”

“I’m not finished yet,” he growled, black eyes glittering with promise.

Then her sinfully delicious Black Bear leaned forward, and she practically squealed with delight.

Brayden gifted her with another purrfect kiss.

Then he did it again. And again.

And again…

Elsewhere…

Back in his own apartment, Uzzi Stregovich of the infamous Uncle Uzzi’s Magical Matchmaking Service was sitting at his desk with a delicious cup of tea and one of the special cookies the Nari of the Maverick Pride had sent home with him. He was really getting the hang of his computer and had just read a rather interesting email. His magic buzzed around him as he reread the missive.

Dear Uncle Uzzi,

My name is Gretchen Kaepernick. I am Elissa Phoenix-Maverick’s former roommate, and I am moving to Maverick Point to take over Mrs. Bowers’ lease.

I’ve always wanted to run my own salon, and this is a fantastic opportunity. Everything is in perfect order, so I literally just have to move in. Everything will be up and running just after the new year.

Now to the point of this email. You see, I haven’t had much luck with men in forever and I was wondering if you could arrange for me to meet a nice one? I am a bigger than average girl and I don’t want to settle.

It is true, I can come on a bit strong and, okay, well, I’m just plain blunt when it comes to how I feel. Elissa tells me I am too frank, but I can’t help it. I turn all my dates away with talk of wanting a future and a family someday. But it’s true. It’s what I want.

Elissa told me to contact you about maybe helping me find my own happily-ever-after? So what do you think? Can you help me, Uncle Uzzi?

Thank you for your consideration,

Gretchen

Well, thought Uncle Uzzi. Things were about to get even more interesting in Maverick Point. He wondered if this little human, who did not know of Shifters, would be open to the possibility of being the fated mate of a man who also turned into a beast.

Hmmm.

Interesting.

Uncle Uzzi smiled as he sifted through notes he’d taken when he’d visited the Pride House.

This one, he thought, and felt his liebling’s presence. Ah! If Betty approved, then Uzzi was correct.

This Tiger was the one for the unknowing normal. He smiled, pleased with himself.
