Motioning her over to me, I sit her on my lap and take a deep breath. I suppose there’s no better time than now. “I was actually talking to Justin, just checking in after this morning.” I let out a little chuckle thinking of our caveman antics. “Actually, I wanted to talk to you or rather ask you something.” I search her eyes for any sign I’m doing the wrong thing, but there’s none.
“I was actually coming to find you, baby, I missed waking up beside you. I was a bit shy to ask earlier, but I need to ask now. You know how Nat moved out, and I have a spare room? Well, not that I need that spare room, but you know how I need someone to help make this place not so empty—” I cut her off with a kiss. She’s so cute when she rambles.
“Angel, spit it out.” I laugh lightly.
“Okay, um, willyoumoveinwithme?” she takes a deep breath and exhales, looking up to my amused expression.
“What?” she asks confused.
“Baby girl, slow it down.” I know I’m messing with her but if what I just heard was correct, this just made life somewhat easier.
“Will you move in with me?” she asks again, looking up at me from under those gorgeous long lashes. I give her another kiss, this time putting all my emotion into it. This woman.
Pulling away, I give Iris one of my best smirks. “You bet, baby girl.”
She squeals and straddles my lap, initiating another round of making out. I stand up, Iris in my arms with her legs wrapped around my waist. Not at all worried about how I’ll get her to move into my house, I say the only thing that’s truthfully right.
“I’m going to love living with you, Angel.”
