“Widow is taking you to the bus station. Don’t make me regret this,” Maverick says before Widow drags a distraught Chasity out of the room.

When he closes the door, I make eye contact with Maverick. “You handled that well.” I tell him.

“I’ve killed men for less, but we both know how my father would react to hurting a woman,” he answers.

I slap a hand on his shoulder and swing open the door. Now that’s over we can focus on what matters most. Family.

Chapter 33

Daniella

It’s been two weeks since my little episode. I’ve finally been given the “release” from the doctor to go about daily life. I can go back to work and whatever else my heart desires. I did agree to go see a specialist to double check my kidneys and make sure everything was functioning properly. With my new found freedom, there is one thing in particular I’m ready to do. He’s hot, bossy, and about to get jumped when he walks through that door.

I’m sitting in his chair, wearing his favorite T-shirt and my signature combat boots. Nothing else. He should be coming up those stairs any minute and I may actually detonate if I don’t have his hands on me soon. It’s been too long and I’ve been coddled enough.

I hear that familiar rasp of his voice outside our door and my thighs clench together. The door knob turns and when he looks up to see me, he freezes. His crooked grin forms on his lips as he shuts the door behind him.

His eyes roam from my head to the tip of my boots. “I like your outfit, Princess.”

I smile, uncrossing legs so he gets a quick view of what’s underneath. The sharp hiss that comes from between his teeth tells me he got a good glimpse.

“So…. Doc released me to regular activities,” I say as I twirl a piece of my pink hair.

“Is that so?” He takes a few slow strides towards me.

I nod as he stalks closer, shedding his vest in the process.

“What regular activities are you referring to?” He asks as he drops to his knees in front of me.

“I think you already know the answer to that.” I smirk.

His large hands run up my thighs as I let them fall apart, giving him better access. His blue eyes find mine, as he tugs my hips to the end of the chair. Wasting no time and never breaking eye contact with me, he leans in to taste me. I swear I almost lost it with one stroke of his skillful tongue. My head tilted back and before I knew it, stars were dancing behind my eyes. My legs clenched against him and the scruff on his jaw heightened my pleasure as it scraped against the inside of my thighs.

I impatiently sat up, causing him to set back on his heels. I reached for the hem of his shirt, tugging it up over his head. His fingers reached for mine and in a few swift motions we were naked. Our bodies melted together as I gripped his smooth length in my hand. He groaned as we stumbled towards the bed. When the back of my thighs hit the mattress, I fell backwards. He stood straight. Staring at me like a caged animal. I knew what he wanted, but he was afraid to hurt me. He still worried I was weak, sick, or even damaged.

“I’m not going to break Travis.” I whispered.

His hands reached for my breasts as he brushed his thumbs over my peaked nipples.

“I’m not sure I can go easy…it’s been a while…” His face looked pained as his hardness pressed between my legs.

“Travis.” I said with a stern voice.

His eyes shot up to mine.

“If you are not capable of giving me....” My words died in my throat when he suddenly slammed into me.

He moved like he always did. Powerful. Almost angry. But his eyes have never been as clear and full of love as they were now. The tingles started to move through my limbs and my lids drifted closed.

“Don’t hide from me,” he whispered as his hand gripped the back of my neck.

I opened my eyes, letting the waves of pleasure capture me with each thrust.

“I’ve never been able to hide from you,” I whispered back. The memory of those exact words we exchanged at Maxi’s warmed my heart.

His pace increased and I relished every minute. Travis and I always been explosive together. The bedroom was no different.

“I love you,” he said against my lips as I hit my climax.
