I screamed, fisting the sheets as my body convulsed beneath him. His frantic movements suddenly stilled and a growl rumbled from his chest as he released inside of me. For a moment we just got lost in each other, trying to catch our hurried breathes.
“I love you too,” I mumbled through a smile as he bent down to graze his teeth over my nipple before he slid out of me.
I rolled over and let out a satisfied sigh. As I enjoyed this bliss, a sudden sting on my ass cheek caused me to scream out when his hand connected with my skin.
“That’s for questioning my capabilities, Princess.” Travis said before swaggering to the shower.
All I could do was smile.
Chapter 34
Travis
I laid in bed as the sun slowly crept through the blinds. Dani was curled up next to me, her head resting on my chest and her leg thrown over my mine. I feel like I need to pinch myself to make sure this is real. Is she really laying her with me? Am I really worthy of her? I close my eyes and shake the thoughts. I can’t have those if I want to keep her. I never want to make her doubt how I feel about her.
My hand runs down her spine then over her round ass. I give a slight squeeze as I place a kiss on her forehead.
“Princess,” I whisper.
“Mmm,” she hums against my chest.
“Let’s get up. I got plans for us today.”
She protests by pulling the covers over her head.
“Hop to it.” I slide out from under her and head to the shower.
“Do I have time to join you? You know, to help the environment…. saving water and all that jazz,” she says with a sleepy smile.
“Well, we wouldn’t want to harm the environment now, would we?” I stop in the doorway and turn to face her, stroking myself with a broad smile.
She smirks and drags out of bed, prowling towards me like lioness.
Thirty minutes later we are satisfied, showered, and dressed. It was a beautiful day and I had been wanting to do this for a few weeks. It’s time. I know Dani and I know this won’t be easy, but it’s what she needs.
I feel her arms tense around my middle when I pull up to Knights Mechanics. When I come to a stop in front of the office, I can feel her anxiety.
“Travis….” She says quietly after I kill the engine.
“Baby, it’s time. Get off the bike.” I hold out my hand for her to take it.
She hesitates. Glancing at the shop then back to me. I know she hasn’t been here since Zane died. When he died, she let her passion die with him. And he would have fucking hated it if he knew.
She finally took my hand and slipped off of my bike. I laced our fingers, tugging her behind me. I got to the door and used my key to open it up.
I took a step in, but she stood rooted in place. Her eyes took in the office and I could already see the tears pooling.
I urged her forward and never let her hand go as she stepped inside.
“It still smells like him,” she said softly with a small smile on her face.
“This doesn’t have to be a place where you remember he’s gone. It can be place where you remember he lived,” I tell her as I cup her jaw.
She nods.
“He wanted you to run this place one day. Even Mav does. We always knew this would belong to you. It’s what he wanted.” I pull her towards the back door.
We step outside and I walk her over to a car covered with a black sheet.
