“I’m good.”
I didn’t have words to describe this incredible woman.
She shifted and lowered herself onto me in one excruciatingly slow movement. My eyes rolled back as her soft heat engulfed me. I had never been inside a woman without a condom. Not with Katherine, not in college, never. It was unbelievable. Emily moved, matching my rhythm, and my world shifted. I felt it in my chest.
I could see the stars through the skylight above her. Her eyes glittered to match them as she gasped and sighed. I wouldn’t last with that vision above me, but I would hold on as long as I could. Mr. Big Man indeed.

I letFinn drive my SUV to Woodinville for our evening at The Lodge. It got better gas mileage than his truck. He made his living from the earth, so he did what he could to take care of it.
Already dressed in our gear, we were heading down early and getting a bike ride in before the afternoon heat. Finn hadn’t been to the hotel or the area other than a long-ago ride on the nearby miles-long rails-to-trails path stretching north to south through the eastern suburbs.
The Lodge sat in a broad valley by the Sammamish River with the trail a few hundred yards away. We were too early to check in, so we parked at a public lot to unload our bikes. Finn’s eyes took in my spandex shorts, and cycling top, a curve on his lips before his expression changed to serious as two guys headed this way from the trail. I liked his little possessive streak. He wasn’t an ass; he just got a bit more growly sometimes around other men. I doubt they were looking at me the way he thought they were, but it still felt good to be wanted, protected.
Grabbing a couple of sandwiches at a wine bar near the lot, we headed north. South led to a popular suburb, and I feared the mild weather would fill the trail with moms and strollers. Today was about Finn and me. There was no space in my head for anything else.
We stopped at an open area near a footbridge over the river and laid out a blanket Finn brought in his pack. We sat on the ground and soaked in the sun. Watching me with a sexy half-smile on his handsome face was becoming a habit for Finn, particularly when I was eating. Maybe sub sandwiches were too much of a phallic symbol for today. I knew where my mind had been since dawn, and I hoped Finn’s had been there too.
Beyond the lodge, the trail stretched for mostly flat miles through towns and trees, making the ride relaxing.
“This is wonderful. I know it isn’t a mountain bike trail, but I love it. Thank you for riding with me,” I said.
“Any time.” His smile warmed me in addition to stirring the butterflies in my stomach.
We stopped for a water break, and Finn reached out to caress my face and neck. His blue eyes shifting from pale to blazing in a moment and filling me with wonder about their magic.
I’d been anxious in the car, jabbering and singing to the radio. Finn hadn’t seemed to mind. He just drove, occasionally rubbing his finger across his lips while his eyes held something more.
I glanced at my watch. “We should head back. I have a surprise for us at five o’clock.”
“Is it a sexy surprise?”
“Hopefully.” I angled my head to give him a quick kiss without knocking our bike helmets together.
Inside, the spacious lobby was dark wood, leather club chairs, and a three-story stone fireplace. Finn looked around the space and at the older couples sipping wine from the concierge table in the corner. One bonus, this hotel didn’t lend itself to families and children much. I didn’t want even momentary sadness to distract me from my plans with Finn.
Once we checked in and confirmed our arrangements, I felt Finn by my side.
“Here is the key to your suite. Enjoy your service and your stay.” The woman behind the counter smiled politely with a subtle but appreciative glance at Finn. Yes, he was fine, and he was mine.
“Thank you,” I said and led Finn toward the wine table. I wanted a glass to calm my nerves. This sex goddess thing was stressful.
“Should we grab our bags and move the car?” Finn asked.
“Oh no, they’ll do it. I gave them the valet key. They’ll lock the bikes and bring our things to the room as well. I added the bellhop tip to our bill so we can relax for a while.”
I greeted the two smiling servers at the wine table. “Would you like to try something?” the man asked.
“Is this for an event?” Finn whispered.
“No, it’s complimentary for the guests,” I said.
“Oh, I’m a little out of my element.”
I chose the juicy pinot grigio, and the server poured a generous taste of the golden wine, then gestured to Finn. He nodded, and the server poured another while he started his spiel about the winery located nearby, the steel tanks, and French oak barrels.
