He shrugs. "It's kind of obvious."
"Why didn't you say anything?"
"So you could lie to us some more?" He arches his eyebrows.
Heat flares in my cheeks. I'm not sure what I would have done if they had asked me about Dante.
Sean rises, addressing Killian. "Can we skip the confession and get in the gym? Oh, and convince my mom to let me fight."
I stand and turn his cheek toward me. "You can fight. Thank Dante and Killian for that win."
Sean grins. "I can?"
I sigh, still worried. "Yes. But, please be careful."
He hugs me again. "Awesome. Thank you, Mom."
Killian tugs on Sean's shoulder. "Let's go. Show me your new skills."
"Wait!" I exclaim.
"What?" Killian asks.
My eyes dart between Sean and Fiona. "So you don't care I'm seeing Dante?"
"Why would we? We love Dante," Fiona responds.
"Nope. But if he doesn't treat you well, I'm going to kick his ass," Sean states then winks.
"You won't need to kick my ass." Dante's voice booms from the doorway.
"Hope not," Sean cockily states.
Killian steers him toward the door, asking Dante, "You joining us?"
"I'll be there in a minute."
"Fiona. You come, too. You can tell me about this new boy you're seeing."
She obeys, leaving the room with them.
Dante smirks, walking toward me. "Sounds like things went well?"
I smile, happy with the outcome, hoping things will someday be back to normal. "They did."
He slides his hands on my cheeks and holds his face above mine, his dark eyes studying me.
My flutters take off. No matter how much time passes, Dante still makes me weak-kneed.
"So, we're moving forward then?"
I nod. "Yeah."
"Focusing on the future?"
"Yes."
He kisses me then arrogantly smiles. "Does this mean I can stay the night and not hide?"
