Piper puts her hands in the air. “At least Chase hired protection for her. Noah did the same thing to keep me safe. Everything will be fine with security.”

Quinn glares at Piper.

“Jeez, Quinn. You don’t have to give Piper the death stare,” I tell her.

Quinn scowls. “This is serious. You could be hurt, or worse.”

“She’s right,” Charlotte quietly says.

I’m getting angrier by the minute with this conversation. “If you’re going to say something Charlotte, then speak up.”

We must be getting louder because Noah, Xander, and Jamison approach.

“Everything okay over here?” Jamison asks and looks directly at Quinn.

She smirks at him. “Peachy.”

Jamison shakes his head at her.

“What’s going on?” Noah softly asks Piper.

“Quinn and Charlotte are worried about Vivian, and I assured them everything will be fine. Chase did the right thing and hired security. Ms. Looney Tunes Thursday won’t be able to get near her.” Piper points to me.

Chase’s face reddens. “Can you all stop calling her Ms. Thursday?”

Quinn faces him. “Why? That’s what she is.”

“Was,” I correct her.

“Sorry, you’re Ms. Thursday now,” Quinn blurts out.

I shift back in shock as Chase says, “No, she’s not.”

“Quinn, can I talk to you?” Jamison asks.

She stares at him. “Whatever you want to say, you can say it here. Let’s just put it out there. Maybe you can write a check with it.”

The room is so quiet you can hear a pin drop.

What the fuck is going one? Write a check with it?

Jamison’s eyes are wide. She glares at him but then starts to blink back tears. After untying her apron, she takes it off and throws it on the counter and stalks out of the kitchen.

Jamison turns to follow her just as she shuts the door.

“What is that all about?” Piper looks at Chase and me.

“Why are you looking at us?” I ask.

“Because it’s time you told us what the heck is going on with Quinn and Jamison,” Charlotte says.

I’m about to respond when Chase says, “You have to ask them what’s going on. We aren’t in their relationship.”

“Vivian?” Charlotte questions.

“Chase is right. We don’t know.”

“You all were together when Charlotte and Xander were in the hospital. You know something you aren’t telling us,” Piper says.
