Royce leans down to my ear. “I got this. Go with Noah. I can’t help him if you’re here.”
I debate and finally creep out with Noah. We crunch through the snow and get into the car.
“Vivian, you okay?” Noah examines my face.
“I’ll live. She is crazy. You have to get Chase out of there!”
“We will. The cops are on their way as well.”
“She has a gun. She wants to have sex with him with the gun.” I start to cry.
Noah’s eyes widen just as several cop cars pull up next to the house. There are no sirens or lights.
“Stay in the car,” Noah instructs me. He gets out to talk to the police. One of the officers gets into the car.
“Ma’am, are you okay?”
“My boyfriend is in there. She’s crazy and has a gun. She is making him have sex with her with a gun!”
“We’re going to do the best we can to get everyone out safely.”
“My bodyguard Royce is in there, too. He has a gun as well.”
The officer nods. “Okay, ma’am. Stay in the car.”
I’m staring out the window, tears drenching my coat, when gunshots ring through the air.

Chase
“Get those clothes off,”I tell Meredith.
A happy grin is on her face. I hate myself so much right now.
I hate that I’ve put Vivian in this danger and that Meredith has physically harmed her. Vivian’s face is bruised, swollen, and I think her nose is broken.
I hate myself for having created this situation where Meredith is obsessed with me.
I hate myself for lying to her that I have any feelings for her.
I hate myself for kissing Meredith in front of Vivian and that she’s had to listen to all these things.
And I don’t know how far I’m going to have to take this, so I hate myself some more.
The only thing that matters is that Vivian gets out of here safely.
“Put the gun on the table,” I tell her.
“No.”
I snap. “I can’t fuck you if you’re holding a gun.”
“You can, and you will. It will be hotter.” A sick grin forms on her face.
She just gets crazier.
“What?”
