Page 50 of Committed to You

“I’m aware.”

“Did Vivian say she thought she could find us the locations?”

“She’s bringing in a commercial realtor to assist, but they already sent over several locations. I forwarded you the email.”

Jamison sighs. “Sorry, man. I wasn’t on email all weekend.”

“No worries. There appear to be several ideal spots that I think could work. Vivian was setting up showings.”

“Maybe I can come with you if I end up going to her event.”

“Her event?”

“Her award.”

I tilt my head at him. “Award?”

He raises an eyebrow. “Vivian didn’t tell you?”

My pulse creeps up. “Tell me what?”

“She’s receiving a huge award.”

She’s receiving a huge award and didn’t tell me?

“She didn’t tell me,” I mumble.

“She seems pretty humble,” he offers.

The man in her life should know something that important.

But you aren’t her man. You didn’t give her that option.

Once again, I curse myself.

“What is the award for?” I hate the fact I have to ask Jamison to tell me about Vivian’s award when I should know this stuff.

“The mayor is giving awards to a few people in the community. I don’t know all the details, but Noah said it’s a huge deal.”

My stomach drops further. “Noah knows, too?”

Jamison winces. “Everyone knows.”

My face burns, and I close my eyes and lean my head back on the chair. “I’m such an idiot.”

Jamison doesn’t say anything.

“When is it?”

“Thursday night.”

“This week?”

Jamison nods. “Quinn wants me to go with her, and I told her that I would see if I can rearrange things for work. Noah bought a table.”

“Noah bought a table and didn’t ask me to come?”

“Take it up with him. I’m just the messenger,” Jamison says.
