He wraps his arms tight around me. “This is more like it,” he murmurs between kisses. “And I told them I had to use the restroom so I would come to get you.”

“Did they see you punch in my code?”

He sighs. “No. Someone was walking out, and I grabbed the door.”

Relieved, I kiss him again and my body throbs against his hardening erection.

“By the way, you look beautiful.”

“Thanks. You smell nice.” I roll my tongue against his as he caresses my back under my shirt.

“Let’s tell them to go without us,” he murmurs.

I giggle. “We can’t. Let’s go.”

He groans.

“Sorry. Are you mad I continue to keep this between us?”

He brushes the hair off my face. “No. I’m not mad at you. I’m ready when you are to tell everyone, but it’s your call.”

“Maybe we can find a dark corner somewhere tonight,” I tease him.

“Challenge accepted.” He winks then grabs my coat. “Let’s go, doll.”

He leads me through my building and out to the car. Noah, Piper, and Chase are waiting. Instead of sitting next to Jamison, I take the seat next to Piper.

As soon as the door shuts, Chase asks, “How serious is this between Vivian and this guy?”

I cross my arms. “That’s an interesting question coming from you.”

“What do you mean?”

“Is it Thursday?” I smirk.

“What does that mean?”

I remember the pact we all made and decide it’s best not to say anything further. “Nothing. She’s only gone on a few dates. It’s not serious yet.”

“Yet?” he says in a panic.

“Jeez. Chill out. You’re the no-relationship guy, remember?” I tell him.

“She has a good point,” Noah says.

“Stop being a hypocrite.” Piper glares. “You can’t expect Vivian to possibly want to have anything to do with you if you aren’t going to commit to her. She’s not someone to be played, Chase.”

“One, I don’t play girls. Two, I would never play Vivian. Three, you don’t know anything about my dating life, so stop making assumptions,” Chase fires at Piper.

“Can we all cool it?” Jamison asks.

The car parks outside the bar, and Chase flings the door open and gets out. The rest of us follow. Piper and I know the bouncer, and we go right inside.

“What the hell is she doing kissing him?” Chase growls, pointing to Vivian.

“Chase.” Jamison puts his hand on his arm. “She’s on a date. Calm down. Be smart.”

“Let’s go to our table,” I suggest.
