She closes her eyes. “Ugh. How much did we drink?”
I chuckle. “Too much. I blame the shots.”
“I vaguely remember getting out of Noah’s car last night.”
“You don’t remember our conversation?”
She pauses for a moment then puts her hand on her face. “No. But did I strip for you?”
“You only threw your shirt at me.”
“Did we have sex?”
“Only at the bar. Please tell me you remember that.”
Her face flushes. “I remember that.”
“Good. You have permission to pull me into a dark corner of a bar anytime.”
She giggles, and my phone rings.
I get out of bed, grab my pants that are on the floor, and pull my phone out of my pocket. Climbing back in bed next to Quinn, I pull her in my arms and answer it.
“Hey, Noah.”
“Jamison, we need to run interference with Xander.”
“Has Charlotte talked to him yet?”
“No. We’re meeting at his hotel around one.”
Shit.I wanted to hang out with Quinn all day.
“Hold on a minute.” I put the phone against my body so Noah can’t hear. “The guys are getting together around one to make sure Xander is okay.”
“Go.”
I look at the phone. It’s ten o’clock. At least I can hang with Quinn for a few hours. “Okay, text me what hotel he’s at, and I’ll meet you there.”
“Want a change of clothes?”
Nope. I already have extra clothes I’ve left at Quinn’s all these months.
I don’t say anything about it because Quinn would freak. “I’m good. See you there.” I hang up.
“So, Noah knows you stayed here?”
“I’ll tell them I slept on the couch if you want.”
Quinn bites her lip and scans my eyes nervously.
Great. She’s going to have anxiety over me staying the night.
“Don’t get upset. They aren’t going to judge you. I know what you’re worried about, but they would be happy for us.”
She strokes my hair. “Actually, I was thinking that maybe it’s time to stop hiding. Not tell them but not worry about it so much. If they figure it out, then they figure it out.”
I grin at her. “Really?”
