“I know.”
She elbows me. “So. I need details!”
I avoid answering her. “What about you and Chase?”
She smirks at me. “I slept in my room like a good girl.”
“Vivian,” I groan.
“I’m just teasing you. Seriously, you need to chill out, Quinn.”
“Please don’t tell anyone,” I ask her again.
She puts her hand on my shoulder. “Okay. I won’t.”
“Thanks. It was bad enough Chase walked in on us.”
“What?”
“Yeah, while I was naked in bed.”
She covers her mouth and stifles a giggle.
“He didn’t tell you?”
“No.”
I sigh. “That makes me feel better, then. Hopefully, he keeps his mouth shut.”
“No one would think badly of you, Quinn.”
“Can we drop this?”
“Sure. Are you ready to go?”
“Yes.”
We walk down the hall and into the kitchen. Jamison hands me a smoothie. I avoid Chase’s gaze.
“Quinn, you all set to go, or do you need a jacket?” Chase asks.
“I’m good.” Heat creeps into my face again.
“You should probably get a coat. It’s cold out,” Jamison tells me.
“All right. It’s hanging on the coatrack by the front door. I’ll grab it on the way out.”
“Do you need your purse or your phone?” Chase asks.
“Both.” I avoid his gaze again.
“Quinn, are you going to avoid looking at Chase all day? He didn’t intentionally walk in on you,” Vivian protests.
Jamison raises his eyebrow to me.
“Thanks, Vivian. Way to keep my business on the down-low.”
“Sorry, but it’s not polite, and we are staying at his house. Besides, if you do that at the hospital, Piper is going to be all up in your business.”
