“Chase is freaking out,”Jamison tells me.

“Why?”

“He said Vivian has a date tonight. Noah’s suggesting we all go out now. Find out from Vivian what’s going on. The last thing I want is to turn our date into a group thing.”

I sigh. “I’ll find out.”

“Are you trying to make Chase jealous?” I text Vivian.

She immediately calls me, and I pick up. “Are you?”

“Hello to you, too.” Vivian laughs.

“Sorry. Jamison texted me that Chase told him you have a date tonight?”

“I do.”

“With who?”

“Trent.”

“Who’s that?” I’ve never heard of him before.

“A guy I’ve seen a few times.”

“So, you aren’t trying to make Chase jealous?”

“No. And why would he be jealous when he’s got his stash of friends with benefits on the side?”

I laugh. “Because Chase has it bad for you.”

Vivian groans. “No, he doesn’t. If he had it bad, he would be done with Meredith, and he’s not.”

“Ms. Thursday?”

“Yep. So are you going out with Jamison tonight?”

“Yes, but don’t make a big deal about it to Piper and Charlotte.”

“I won’t. What’s going on with you two?”

I sigh. “Nothing.”

“Quinn. I know the whole story, remember?”

No, you really don’t know the entire story.“I don’t want to talk about it. Have fun on your date.”

“Okay. You, too.”

I hang up and text Jamison. “Vivian is going out with a guy she’s gone on a few dates with.”

“Noah just reserved a table at some new bar. He says we’re all going out. Piper is going to call you.”

“Seriously? Can’t we get out of it?”
