Anna's increased her prices several times. She's now the most expensive designer in Chicago. She's still humble but knows her worth and doesn't let anyone push her around.
I couldn't be prouder of her. Maksim is, too, and constantly reminds me he trained her.
We finish our lunch meeting and leave with a new contract. When we get into the car, I pull Anna onto my lap. "I love watching you in action."
She smiles. Her blue eyes light up. "They were nice. It should be a fun project. The views from their building are great. But I think that's the last project I'm going to sign for a while, except for your buildings."
"Why?"
Her lips twitch, and she unfastens the top two buttons on my shirt and traces my no past, no future tattoo. "We've got a slight change in our future."
"Oh?"
She picks up my hand and moves it to her belly, saying nothing.
"Are you pregnant again?"
She nods. "What do you think about that?"
I slide my hands in her hair, which is blonde again. I kiss her deeply until she repositions her body so she's straddling mine.
"Tell Rolan to keep driving until we tell him to go back. I wore a dress for a reason."
"My naughty wife," I tease.
I don't hesitate. I roll down the divider window and give him directions. Before the window is back up, she's unzipped my pants. I quickly tug her panties to the side, and she sinks onto me.
I groan. "God, I love it when you're pregnant, Mrs. Ivanov." Anna can't seem to get enough of me whenever she is. Our son is almost four, and our daughter just turned two.
Vivian and Chase are having a birthday party for their oldest daughter, and we dropped the kids off before our meeting. We're on our way to the event, but there's no rush. And any alone time with Anna, I'll take.
"Dmitri..." she whispers and presses her lips to mine in a slow burn concoction of everything that is us. As always, our bodies sync perfectly, wrapping around the other.
My love for her only grows with time. It surprises me how it can. I don't understand how it's possible. I always think it's at full capacity, but then it deepens again.
We don't go fast, enjoying our alone time. When we finish, we go to the party.
The car stops in front of Chase and Vivian's building. I stroke Anna's hair. "How far along are you?"
"Maybe two months. I made an appointment for Tuesday at nine and added it to your schedule this morning."
I chuckle. "My sneaky wife."
She smiles, lighting up my world and making it brighter. I sometimes still wonder how she can know everything she does about me—even the parts I hate—yet love me anyway. There isn't a day where she doesn't give me every piece of her heart. And I make it a priority to do whatever I can to make her happy.
I get out of the car and reach in for her. When I pull her out, I tug her into my arms. Snow is falling in sticky flakes, but instead of running into the building, I kiss her again, putting every part of me into it.
She returns my affection until we're covered in a white blanket of snow.
I can't help the grin on my face. "So we're having another baby, huh?"
Her eyelashes have snowflakes on them. "That's what the five pregnancy tests I took said."
"I'm so happy. Are you?"
"Yes."
I peck her on the lips and quickly guide her inside.
