He rises and takes his cup to the sink. "Didn't say you were."
She follows him. "You're treating me like one." Her pencil skirt hugs each cheek of her round ass in perfection, teasing me further.
She's going to drive me insane all day.
"No, I just don't have to tell you everything."
"Fine. I'll go around you and ask Dmitri." She spins. Her eyes are full of fire, and her face is slightly red.
I reach my limit. I rise. "We need to get going, or we'll miss our appointments."
"I want to know who I'm not supposed to get involved with."
"Chill out, Anna," Chase mutters.
She turns and points at him.
Her ass, once again, grabs my attention.
"This is why I shouldn't live with you," she asserts.
"So, you'd rather be back in New York getting the shit beat out of you?"
"Chase!" Vivian reprimands him.
I knew that bastard ex of hers did something to her. But my desire to kill him only gets stronger with this new information.
Her face grows redder, and she picks up her purse, then avoids me, walking quickly toward the elevator.
"Anna, I'm sorry," Chase calls after her then mutters, "Shit."
He confirmed my suspicions, but I don't like what he just did. "Not cool. Your sister deserves a bit more respect, don't you think?"
He crosses his arms, and his face hardens.
I turn to Vivian and kiss her cheek. "Thanks for your advice and the coffee."
"Sure. I'll think about your other issue."
"Thanks." I join Anna at the elevator, but she avoids me.
It feels like forever when the doors finally open. We step inside, and she presses the lobby button.
The elevator moves down, but I hit the stop button. I spin and step toward her. She retreats to the wall.
I slide both hands in her hair. My lips brush against hers. "Tell me you aren't going back to him, my kotik."
A tear slips down her cheek. She closes her eyes and whispers, "I'm so embarrassed."
I kiss her tear. "Just say yes or no. Are you going back to him?"
Another tear falls. She opens her eyes. "No."
I nod. "Good." I press my lips to hers, and she gasps, then opens her mouth, sliding her tongue against mine.
Everything I thought about what it would be like to kiss her is wrong. I assumed it would take her a while to warm up to me. That I was the hungry one and my attraction for her was more one-sided, and I would need to show her how good we could be together. But she comes at me like a tiger pouncing on its prey, as if she could devour me through our kisses alone.
And my desire to consume every inch of her flesh grows more intense. Her lips alone are a delicious piece of chocolate, melting against mine to the point I don't know where I end and she begins.
