“She’s my property,” a low voice growled. “I’ll watch if I want.”

“So your rogue is out,” Zadis said smoothly, pressing his hand lightly to my arm, as my head spun. What was going on now?

Sam moved out of the trees and he did look slightly taller than usual, but he was still in celestial form, shaded in shadow, wings hidden from sight because they made the vampires nervous (and according to Sam, he hated sizing up wings with them).

I couldn’t see much, just the shadows of his face as he continued to walk out of the mist, his red eyes glowing.

“Property, hm?” Zadis asked, cocking his head. “I thought you were getting less averse to sharing.”

Sam’s voice was low, demonic. “I did, too. But regardless, I’m not going to ask.” He stopped at the nearest tree line in the shadows and leaned against one. “Go ahead and go on.” His red eyes flashed from beneath the curls falling over one side of his forehead. “I’ll watch.”

My skin, which had been dampened by sweat and enervated by the cold air, seemed to grow even more sensitive at the thought of it, of Sam’s heated eyes watching me as Zadis and I connected.

Zadis moved in as if to kiss me again, but I couldn’t help flinching slightly, drunk and a little nervous about the three-way stand-off. The implications of everything that had happened.

“I changed my mind,” Samael said, stepping forward, looking even taller. “Let’s go home together. If we are going to press this, I might go full demon. We should have privacy for that.”

Zadis’s ears pinked. “I’ve done orgies but never threesomes.” He helped me up but that’s when I noticed he was also swaying slightly, though too tall and strong to need my help much.

Samael came to my side and got between us, putting one arm around my waist and another around Zadis’s shoulder. “The two of you had entirely too much wine, I can smell it.”

“That’s just Cleo’s effect on me,” Zadis said fondly, finding his footing but keeping his easy stride with us, the three of us walking as if just good, very close friends.

Finally Zadis stretched, pulling away from us, looking a little flustered by the contact with Samael.

“You know, as I said, I’ve been to orgies, but threesomes with two men haven’t really been my thing,” Zadis said. “Not that I’m opposed to them, but—”

Sam grunted.

Zadis gestured in front of himself nervously, while Samael watched silently. “So the three of us, will there be, you know, or just both of us there for Cleo?”

Sam stopped blinking, considering it, then looked at me. “What do you want, Cleo?”

I blinked back at him, blood still swirling with wine and the feeling of kissing Zadis and Sam watching and maybe even…Samael kissing me too.

“What do you mean, what do I want?” I asked, too stunned still to speak.

He pulled Zadis in against him, making Zadis look comically choked. “Do you like to watch? Is there anything you want us to do together?”

Zadis shoved him off playfully. “Don’t assume I’m willing, incubus.”

Samael fixed him with a look. “I’m an incubus.”

Zadis shrugged, flushing. “Okay. Fair.” He looked at me. “But honestly, I’d prefer to just be with Cleo.”

“I’m fine sharing. Or watching,” Samael said. He smirked. “I’ll also let you watch, if it gets her hot enough. Teach you something new.”

Zadis laughed, playfully shoving Samael, who barely moved, giving him a scowl before shoving him back. “I’ll teach you something. Fae are so good at sex they do it diplomatically. Do you know how good you have to be to rest the fate of your country on your bed skills?”

Samael smirked. “That’s nothing. I need mine to eat.”

Zadis laughed, slapping Sam on the shoulder. “Good point.” He pursed his lips. “All right, we’ll compete. Who makes her come harder, then faster—”

“Hold up,” I said, putting up a hand, as Samael already looked interested in Zadis’s competition. “Are we really even discussing this?”

We were about halfway back to the sanctuary at this point, having been walking together, half-drunk, during the whole ridiculous conversation.

I sank forward, putting my hands on my knees to rest, and Zadis grabbed me, sweeping me up in his arms as Sam looked slightly jealous.
