“You’re a Park.” I shrug. “You were born with good luck. This position is yours. You just have to take it. Now hurry the fuck up or I’ll go Jude on you and vanish.”

“You’re such a dick, Cal. I better see your ass after for a celebratory drink.”

One drink.

And then I’m going to see my girl.

Willa

It’s like I’m under a microscope now. Darren, since he got home from the office, has been watching me like a hawk. Peeked in on me while I was doing homework and then stared at me all through dinner as if he could see right inside my mind.

He didn’t kill me, which means he can’t.

If he could, he’d see me replaying this afternoon over and over and over again.

I touched Callum’s cock.

He was huge, just like he warned. Rather than terrifying me, I craved it even more. I can’t stop thinking about the feel of him in my hand. How the heat of his erection was hot to the touch, burning through his slacks and warming my hand.

I’d wanted to unzip him and pull his cock out. To kneel before him, licking and sucking until he came. Of course, we didn’t get that opportunity, but I wanted it nonetheless.

“Levi, help your sister,” Darren barks out, making me jump and nearly drop the sponge.

I cringe as Levi enters the kitchen and starts collecting dishes. When Mom isn’t drugged off her ass, she’s a good cook. On the days she’s beyond cooking, like today, one of us does the task. Tonight, Darren made tacos.

“Spencer is one of them,” Levi mutters under his breath. “You do realize that, right?”

His body is too close to mine. I can feel his warmth at my back. I don’t like not having him in my line of sight. Tossing the sponge, I whirl around to face him.

“No way,” I deadpan. “I had no idea.”

Levi’s nostrils flare. “They’re turning you into a smartass.”

“Maybe I’m finally just tired of putting up with your crap.”

He snorts. “Too late to find your backbone now.”

“I can do the dishes alone.” I wriggle my fingers at him. “Bye.”

“Ishouldlet Spencer have his way with you.” Levi sneers at me. “Dempsey’s too dumb to fuck with you, but Spencer…” He whistles and shakes his head. “He would ruin you.”

I’m having difficulty combining the charming Spencer I met with this one Levi is warning me about.

“I can handle Spencer.” I lift my chin in defiance. “Are you going to tell your daddy?”

“Watch your mouth.”

“Or what? You’ll slap me too?”

His eyes narrow. “You know what? Have at it. Learn for yourself what kind of guy Spencer Park really is.”

“Don’t let Darren hear you encouraging me to go against his word.”

We both glance toward where Darren is shuffling through the mail in the dining room. Despite our heated argument, neither of us seems keen on bringing Darren into it. I certainly don’t want to get slapped again. And Darren hits Levi a lot harder than he hit me, so I know he doesn’t want his attention either.

“I’ve seen what Spencer does to girls he likes. He makes them fall in love and then he breaks them.”

Good thing I don’t have to worry about that.
