“Didn’t you just take me there?” His manly chuckle could only be described as overly confident and ego stroking.

“Someplace new,” he murmured, kissing along her neck. “And unfortunately, you will need clothes.”

It had been three weeks since Roberts had stormed a small, nondescript suburban house, saving the small three-month-old little girl. It was a tribute to just how much her mother had loved her that her last dying wish was to save her.

Roberts had also arrested the man responsible for it all as well, and he was awaiting trial.

Since then, she had taken to helping both Garrett and Eleanor. Helping to save people where she could. Garrett was very protective of just what she did and how much she flexed her gift, but she understood why and didn’t let it bother her. In some ways, she both needed and loved how attached and protective of he was to her. After living a life where nobody was there wanting her, it was nice to have someone that cared for her that much.

Sara was a different matter, however.

She had continued to be distant and downright hostile. She had told Garrett what she had seen, and although he was worried about his sister, he still was up in arms over the way Sara was treating her and their relationship.

Eleanor had tried to get in the middle of it more than once, but it had become a silent agreement between all of them, that when Sara was there, they became scarce and vice versa.

She knew that it was hard on Eleanor and Garrett to have such a discord between them, but every time she had tried to talk with Sara, it had ended up in either harsh words being said, or Garrett coming in and dragging her away.

She wished she could help, but she guessed that not everything could be healed quickly. Sara would have to overcome her issues on her own time, and she and Garrett would be there when she was ready.

He moved inside of her again, rolling his hips in a delicious way, and she moaned, tilting her head back as he hit her deeper, sending little shivers trembling throughout her body. She could hear the slight sound of her wet pussy sliding over his dick, a combination of her being overly wet and his come that was still inside of her.

“You moan like that again, and I’m not taking you anywhere but under me.” She meant to give a snarky comeback, something that would have them both laughing, but as he whispered the words against her neck, then licked gently before biting down, she did indeed moan again.

“Garrett.”

“Fuck, little one.” He started thrusting faster, cupping her breast with one hand, his thumb and finger twisting her nipple and adding just that little pinch of pain that had her arching back into him. His other hand slid up to her neck to hold her as his hips started slamming harder.

“Come. Please, for the love of God, just come. I can’t hold on much longer,” he grunted in her ear before giving her a particularly hard thrust that had them both scooching across the bed and a scream leaving her as she crested quickly and came.

“Fuck yeah.” He stilled inside of her and even though she was thoroughly worn out, and he had already come twice that morning, she could still feel him as he came again. Filling her with his warm come.

“Mmm,” she mumbled, and he sighed.

“Fucking Christ, you are going to kill me,” he muttered against her neck before kissing it. Then he rolled away, picking her up bridal style and carrying her into the shower.

“You started it.” He gave her a look, and she giggled.

He had, but she hadn’t minded.

They showered together, barely managing to keep their hands to themselves before getting dressed, and he led her downstairs and out to his truck.

“Where are we going??”

“Surprise,” he grunted, opening the truck door for her.

She stared up at him, trying to act big and tough, but he only stared back unflinchingly. Obviously, he was not about to give in, so she got in the truck and tried not to smile.

Her life had changed drastically in the last few months. She no longer went hungry, and she no longer was in fear every day. She no longer had to carry the guilt of working for Chuck, and because of that, she now got to make a difference.

Chuck had tried his hardest to beat the charges, but the FBI and DEA didn’t back down when it came to transporting drugs. He would spend his life behind bars, never able to hurt anyone ever again.

And she got to live her life with Garrett. Full of love and life.

He walked around the truck, and she wasn’t able to keep her eyes to herself as she watched his long legs and muscles flex as he climbed in. He started it before linking his fingers through hers and driving them out of town.

He took a few different roads that she had never been on, before pulling down a gravel driveway.

She could see a big, empty gravel lot, as if something had once been there, or something was going to be built someday, but other than that, there was nothing there. No buildings, fences, just the wide-open spaces and a beautiful view.
