Ryan swallowed back the bitterness that stung the back of his throat, feeling so frustrated that he had another four years minimum here. Reilly was obviously not going to cooperate with him requesting a change of duty station or moving to recruiting… but he did approve his leave.

He would have to be happy with the little victories – for now.

I will be home for our anniversary.

The request got approved today by my commanding officer and I cannot wait to see you. The bean bag pillow was incredible and probably kept me from making a huge mistake today. I very nearly lost my temper, but the feeling of that amazing bean bag against my cheek kept me sane.
