She flopped on the bed alongside me, her chest rising and falling as she gazed at the ceiling. “Oh, goodness. That was so...amazing.”
I moved in closer and wrapped my arm around her shoulder, drawing her into my side. She snuggled up to me, her body soft and comforting. Her head rested on my chest as she looked up at me with huge, blue eyes that reminded me of a beautiful, clear day in the sky. I closed my eyes, inhaled her scent, and sighed serenely.
How did this happen?
How did we get to this point—me snuggling with a woman after sex? But it wasn’t the snuggling that bothered me.Why did I like it so much?I shouldn’t enjoy this, being here with a woman I’d just met earlier on the beach, my fingers twirling through her hair as her head rose and fell with my chest.
I shouldn’t, yet I was.
What the fuck was happening to me?

Willow
Light peered through a slit in the curtains, waking me up. Ivan yawns and stretches his arms before opening his eyes. He smiles broadly and moves closer to me. “Good morning, sleepy head.”
“Good morning handsome.”
His lips twitch. He strokes my cheek with his fingers, and in a teasing tone, he asks, “Are you ready for another go around?”
My stomach starts to growl. I guess that answers that. I can’t believe I slept with him last night. You would think I learned my lesson with Rolan, but damn, I couldn’t resist Ivan.
He leans against the headboard and laughs. “I can hear your stomach growling from over here. We can fix that with some room service.” He is smiling, and his hair is messy. He has that sexy five o’clock shadow happening. He looks sexy as hell.
“That would be gre…” I was cut off by a knock at the door.
Ivan slips on his underwear and opens the door. I can hear a strange voice on the other side.
“Come on in.” Ivan states.
Groggily, I rub my eyes and look to find a man walking in. A friend? Employee? I wasn’t certain.
The man looked at me strangely, like I had two heads poking out of my shoulders. I watched back, my eyes narrowed slightly in skepticism. Something about his expression, his presence, made me uneasy.
Realizing I was still naked beneath the blankets, I pulled them higher to cover my body from the mystery man in the room whose eyes never left me. But not in a perverted way—it was as if he knew me, and despised me, though the reason was unknown.
Who was this man?
Sensing the tension in the room, Ivan cleared his throat and gestured toward the man. “Willow, this is Mihailo. He’s my right-hand man. My employee. But also, my comrade.”
I waved in a lazy motion, but he just stared.
“Mihailo and I need to talk, so we’ll step out into the hallway so you can get dressed in privacy,” Ivan said, slipping on his shoes and wrapping an arm around his employee. “Come on, Miki. Let’s get you some coffee.”
He seemed to be more friend than employee.
Ivan exited the room, closing the door behind him, and I gawked at their absence.
What the hell just happened? And why did that guy clearly not like me? Was he annoyed that Ivan was in bed with me? But that was none of his business! Something in his expression said it was more than that. He stared at me like he knew me personally, which was funny, because I’m pretty sure I’d have remembered meeting someone with that daunting a presence.
I rolled off the bed, grabbing my dress that was hung up. I snatched my bra and panties from the floor, deciding not to wear them back to my room. Instead, I bunched them up and carried them in my shoes, opting to walk back to my room barefoot.
When I opened the door and stepped into the hallway, Ivan and Mihailo were at the end of the corridor, deep in discussion. Not wanting to interrupt, I walked toward the elevator, but Ivan stopped me by calling out my name.
“Willow, wait!” He jogged over to me, grabbing both of my hands with his. “Do you have any plans for today?”
His blue eyes watched me and he wore a jovial expression that I found endearing. I smiled, squeezing his hand slightly. “Not yet. Why? Do you have something in mind?”
