Before I could respond to his offer, a phone started to ring. Bodhi reached into his pants, and his eyebrows raised at whatever he saw on the screen.

“Oli?”

“Where the fuck is Nic?! I called her three damn times, and no one answered. Neither did Sacha for that matter.” Oli was yelling loud enough for me to hear him without it being on speakerphone.

“Oli—” Bodhi started, but I shook my head, a hint of a smile tugging at my lips.

“We’ve been busy entertaining Joe,” I drawled as Bodhi hit the speakerphone button so we could all hear. Just then, Joe screamed out thanks to Vas landing a solid punch in his stomach. “What did you find?”

“Sounds like you all are having fun without me. Fucking rude if you ask me.”

“Oli,” Sacha reprimanded, and Oli let out a loud sigh.

“Okay fine, focusing. I think I know who your stalker is,” Oli replied grimly. I stilled, my anxiety rising and my stomach turning over. “We confirmed through multiple channels that there is only one person who has connections with the Ashview trafficking ring, the F?rstners, andthe Lords of Chaos. All with the influence and power to do all of this, plus, you already know him.”

Ansel pulled away from Joe, as did Vas and Alexei. Everyone was staring at the phone Bodhi was holding.

“Who?” I asked, trying to brace myself for the answer.

Nothing could have prepared me though.

“Christopher. Over half the LLCs related to the trafficking ring lead back to him or his business. He’s the one that ratted out William to Rhodes so it took the pressure off him—”

“And it meant he probably got insider updates of what we knew,” Sacha cursed.

“Plus, he was a trusted member of the F?rstner circle or at least trusted enough,” I said gently, taking in Ansel’s completely empty expression. That killing calm of his taking over. “And someone I trusted as well.”

“Fuck,” Vas muttered, shaking some blood from his hands.

“How far out are you?”

“A few hours,” Atlas said from the background. “But we haven’t slept since Thursday night.”

“Then I suggest taking turns,” I told him firmly. “We have a lot to do when you get back.”

With that, we ended the call. All of us stood there, no one moving or speaking until Joe started to laugh hysterically.

“Of course you trusted him. He’s always had a soft spot for you, Nicholette. So fucking easy from the beginning, and it seems you haven’t changed a bit.”

“The beginning?” I asked, unable to help myself.

“You think I was the only one interested in buying you?” Joe scoffed, cruelty dripping from every word. “He doesn’t usually do young, but you… Nicholette, you have had him wrapped around your finger since you were a child.”

“Vas.”

“Yes?”

“Rip his tongue out.”

“That will probably kill him,” Sacha pointed out.

“Then cut it up using my knife.” I gave Vas a cruel grin as he took out his old knife. “Over and over again until we can pull him apart completely. Just make sure he doesn’t die while you play with him, big guy.”

Vas grinned at me, too excited to care about the nickname, and asked his brother if he was joining him. Sacha pressed a kiss to the top of my head then rolled up his sleeves as he approached Joe and Vas. They got to work while Joe wasted his breath pleading for mercy that neither Russian had.

“Em. Blake. Find me Christopher. Kill anyone who gets in your way. No exceptions. I don’t give a shit who you get rid of along the way.”

“Nic…” Alexei finally spoke up as the two Germans replied that they were on it. “I’ll update Rhodes and Maksim. Rhodes might have some more information too.”
